I stayed here with a few friends while visiting IU for the weekend. Bloomington hotels cost so much on football weekends, so this was a much more affordable choice, and it's only about 20 minutes away. We arrived after dark and left fairly early in the morning, so we didn't get to explore the grounds. But the inn itself is...

Dated! The outside of The Canyon Inn at McCormick's Creek State Park is very pretty and nice. The landscaping is welcoming and it looks like you should want to stay here. The front desk staff was very friendly and nice ready to help us with anything. However, once we got to our room with an actual key and went inside,...

This is one of seven State Park Inns and it is as beautiful and quaint as a lot of the other ones. They have different types of rooms. I stayed in a historic room and it was just right for one person. Loved the décor and the staff was awesome. Rooms were very clean and the food in the dining...

We didn't stay at the hotel because we were camping at the state park campground. But we wanted to check out the restaurant because we always enjoy the state park inn dining rooms. We were more impressed with this one than most of the others we have tried. They had an evening special of fried chicken, salad & soup bar,...

I could never say enough good things about the Indiana State Park lodges. The Canyon Inn is one of the best. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are well appointed. I've stayed here several times and they never disappoint me. Defiantly check out the lodge dining room for at least one meal. The food is always great.

Loved everything about this historic facility! Food was great....service was great....hiking was great! Some reviews said to get the newer rooms...but ours was in the original part and it was very clean and comfortable!

We recently spent a weekend at the Canyon Inn at McCormick's Creek State Park in Spencer, Indiana. The Inn is built on the foundations of a 19th Century Sanitarium where the well-to-do once went to relax when they were over-stressed. And the Inn is still an excellent place to go for that!. A charming rustic lobby complete with fireplace and...

We have stayed here several times over the last 12 years! Its a charming old Inn that is so relaxing. You never have to leave the property if you don't want to. In nice weather they have an outdoor swimming pool. The rooms are dated but VERY clean and comfortable. Just off the lobby area you will find many tables,...

We are from Florida, in our mid sixties and travel extensively. We stay in all types of hotels. We prefer historic hotels with character. We stayed at the Canyon Inn because that is where my husband's parents Honeymooned in 1937!! The main part of the hotel and dining room have been restored very nicely and the employees were very nice...

The Inn is a wonderful compliment to a beautiful park. The trails are well marked and offer a little something for every ability. The Inn was restful with nice indoor and outdoor spaces. The food in the restaurant is delicious while the service was "comfortable." This park is one of my favorite places to visit because it provides a total...
