The hotel was nice and has been updated and remodeled. Staff was very friendly. The hot breakfast was very good and for those of us that do not drink coffee, having a soda machine in the breakfast area was great!! Beds and pillows were comfortable. We stayed in a regular king room. The room had a microwave and refrigerator. The only complaint would be the pool and hot tub area. It is being remodeled but there were signs of mold around the pool and the water was fairly cold. The hot tub was quite warm, not hot, but you couldn’t stay in it for more than a couple of minutes because the chemicals were so strong….burned your nose and throat. Others in the area were sitting next to open windows to get fresh air. I’m not sure the chemical smell will ever come out of our bathing suits. When I mentioned the strong smell to the front desk, the gentleman said he was aware of it but that the health department requires them to use those chemicals. I would stay here again but would not use the hot tub.…
We were a church group traveling together with chartered bus for a funeral of a friend who had passed away from an accident. A lot of people commented on the nice rooms. There was a good hot breakfast available!
Enjoyed my stay! We were here for a basketball tournament and we were not at all disappointed! We had food near buy and some were even in walking distance. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.
Charged $100 for 3 “stained” towels due to their dirty floors. Contacted customer service. Lady was rude and hung up on us. Called back and was told it was the owner and his wife who charged us and we were lucky he didn’t take the whole $200 deposit. Requested to speak to the owner as it wasn’t our fault the towels were dirty and “stained” because they had dirty floors but he refused to call us back. We weren’t rude or disrespectful in any way unlike their service.
It is a very pleasant place to stay. It was clean and the rooms were clean. Convenient for me. Everyone was very polite and courteous. The Breakfast was ok. Did not use pool or equipment room. Parking was good.
Make sure when making reservations, you have the representative repeat back to you what you made reservations for and get the represenatives name and any employee number if yoiu can, in case of any problems that you may need to report to the inn. It would be good to check on your reservation in advance to make sure everything is still in tack just as you wanted and also let the inn know when your on your way or give them an aproximate arrival time if running late for some reason.
Absolutely amazing property! Amazing housekeeping that was very prompt! We went down for breakfast at 8:10 AM and by 8:20 our room was already made up for the day! Amazing, friendly staff as well. Absolutely no complaints!
When I arrived at the hotel, I was informed that they cancelled our reservation for a 2 queen bed room because they overbooked the hotel. They said they tried to call me the night before at 2am in the morning but I did not answer so they cancelled my reservation. They told me they had a king bed with a pull out couch and I could take it or go find a different hotel. It was memorial day weekend and nothing else was available. The pull out couch was extremely uncomfortable. The hot tub had algae in it and was disgusting and the pool was hot and cloudy. Maid service knocked on the door at 8am and they were extremely loud yelling up and down the hall pretty early in the morning. Not a good experience at all.
I have stayed at this hotel before on my way to Kentucky. The rooms are large, clean and quiet. Dilip Patel checked us in and later solved the issue I was having with signing into the hotel's wifi. I was very impressed with his service and then found out that he was the manager. The breakfast offerings included scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, hot and cold cereal, and more - very generous.
This hotel was extremely clean, nice and you couldn't ask for better staff. Thank you for such a great experience and helping my friend and I with our Derby photos. This is definitely a Win Win place to stay.
