We took brother-in-law and wife to the casino for their first trip to a casino. The trip was great. The hotel is in great condition, everyone is very friendly. The casino is entertaining. They have card tables and slot machines. The first floor of the casino is non-smoking.

If you are a senior with a rewards card (very easy to get) for the month of February, you can spend Monday night free in their hotel and get a buy one get one free off the buffet. The rooms are very clean, ours had a view of the river and if you ask, they can get you on the...

This venue was one of our favorites...has been since the late 90's...Now it is a no go to. We could go and spend very little money and have a very good time...losing some, winning some. that is no longer the case...Indiana, first wanted more money...as a result, the casino had to cut back on the payout rate. Now the payouts...

We went on a Sunday afternoon expecting this to be like the other casinos we have visited in the area. We found the staff all friendly, smiling, and very pleasant to interact with. Everything was clean and in good shape. Nancy, the waitress in the buffet, gave us exception service, and made us really feel welcome there. We decided to...

I love the casino's old style. Smoking and drinking at the machines. It does set quite the atmosphere. Slots are fun and they have a wide variety. The buffet was terrible this time. Food was cold and plates were very dirty. Food looked appealing but was often cold. Prime rib was great. Might have to try the steakhouse next time....

Been here for overnight stays twice now. Here's the good: - Friendly staff at the hotel check in desk. - The Lodge hotel (separate building from the main casino) is very nice. Rooms are newer, large, and well appointed. - The steakhouse is excellent. - Live entertainment at the bar with the Elvis performer was fun - Staff at the...

We hadn't had a chance to visit for the Christmas decorations, but some of them are still up. Our room was clean the bed was semi comfortable, the mattress was hard as a rock. We had a nice view of the golf course, of course right now covered with snow. We also could see the river. One thing that I...

Stayed last night at the Rising Star Lodge. My husband, myself, my brother and his wife planned a night out- to watch our niece perform in the holiday Christmas ice skating show. Then enjoy a good meal at Wellington`s and loose some money in the casino. When I made 2 room reservations on line a month ago I thought I...

My boyfriend and I stayed here with a donation they made to a local fire department that he won. Our room #169 was pretty clean and we enjoyed our stay. This was a very nice donation to a volunteer fire department. While we were there we ate the buffet for dinner and breakfast. The dinner was good and the breakfast...

This was my second trip down to the casino. We stayed in the Lodge because I am not a fan of smoking. The Lodge was decorated very nicely. It was comfortable. No refrigerator which would be nice to store water. There was a nice walk to and from the casino, but they have a 24 hour shuttle as well which...

Has anyone else experienced a problem with the ticket cash out machines? We attempted to use one and received the bills but not the coins. There was no error indicated on the machine, it just did not dispense the coins. While I waited for my wife to find someone to help there were other patrons cashing out on the machine next to mine. They had the same problem but decided that it was not worth waiting when I told them that my wife had been gone for over 10 minutes to find someone. I warned other people that attempted to use the machine and they went to another location. My wife returned and told me that someone was being called to help. Several minutes later an employee arrived and placed both machines out of order. He then left stating that a security guard would need to open the machine. Another employee came by and told me that it was shift change for security and it would be a while. Eventually a security guard and the first employee arrived and opened the machine. I was immediately given the money that I told them was due me. I remained and observed what was then done with the machine. The employee tried to leave without answering my question regarding what happened but when pressed stated that coins were jammed. I asked about the sensor verifying that the money was paid out and he told me that the sensor is placed before the channel that coins travel on the way out to be collected. If this is a known problem and is not being addressed it appears that this is a very good profit center. Anyone else note this?
