This was a serene setting for a wonderful Father's Day weekend with my wife, mom and our 3 and 6 year old children. Our kids loved the big yard, gathering eggs and visiting the chicken yard and seeing the goats. The house is charming, and we felt like we were a thousand miles away from the big city. It was...

This was the perfect spot for our sister weekend. We had so much fun walking around the farm trails and crossing the creek. I fell in love with the goats!!! They were so cute and rubbed up on your legs like kitty cats wanting attention. We spent time lounging on the front porch laughing and telling stories. In the evening...

We had a great time at the Tryon B & B, walking the grounds and hanging out in Michigan city. What a beautiful place with a wonderful story. Claudia is the best cook ever. We had an amazing breakfast and she even catered to my food allergies. She sent us home with fresh eggs and a smile. It's our new...

We were very excited to stay at the Guesthouse, however disappointed with our experience. We felt like we were an inconvenience during shoulder season stay; no aroma from fresh baked cookies, no bikes, and our biggest disappointment, no outdoor bath! What we know about the Guesthouse and Farm is from what we read in brochures. Our suggestions; we called with...

We regret any time a guest is disappointed. Michigan City LaPorte, Indiana is an area that celebrates all seasons. Rather than an inconvenience we believe it is an opportunity to vary our experience. For example, this winter guests received a free night with a two night stay while they watched the snow swirl outside. Spring and fall are quieter times...

Just an hour from home I discovered the most unique experience! Tryon Farm is just so peaceful and perfect to get away from hectic everyday life. Claudia greets you and shows you around. I chose the Alcove Spa Room, which was so pretty with the chenille bedspread and of course, the clawfoot tub in the alcove. Breakfast was a wonderful...

We Had a wonderful 2 night stay with Claudia at Tryon There was time to read in the shaded hammock, collected eggs for the next AM breakfast and even took a shower in the enclosed, private, outdoor shower. Claudia was most charming. We will return.

Claudia strikes the perfect balance. She is around and helpful as well as being very well informed about the area; she is very subtly respectful of privacy, while being friendly. Being at Tryon Farm was balm for the soul. Food was tailored to our needs and Claudia will accommodate vegetarians. We had 3 generations there at the house, and would...

Claudia was kind enough to let us stay when we showed up for our reservation a day too early. The house is charming and comfortable, and the landscape is perfect for a morning stroll. There was a good meal to be had in Michigan City at Sahara, which she recommends, and we also visited the local Farmer's Market.

We recently stayed at the Tryon Farm Guest house for a weekend getaway with friends. The location is charming and comfortable. The rooms were clean, comfortable, providing a very restful evening. Breakfast was fantastic. The owner was very accommodating, allowing me to cancel the first evening with no charge. (travel issues...) I would definitely stay here again on my next...

Where to begin... I guess first, when you meet Claudia. She is amazing. We had never been to the area before, and she knows it like the back of her hand. She helped guide us to the best places to eat, best beaches, best things to do. She is the jewel of Michigan City :) Ham cups with perfect eggs...
