Madison is my hometown, and I sometimes visit with a need to stay overnight. This was my third time staying at this hotel, and it's always clean and comfortable. On this particular visit, the folks at the check in desk were very nice and welcoming. My room was clean and comfortable. And the breakfast was great. Overall, a solid, safe choice when staying in Madison.
Staff was friendly and informative. I asked about places to eat and she actually had suggestions. I took one and was very pleased with the restaurant. I asked about directions and places I planned on stopping and she had answers. Breakfast bar could have a few more things like salsa but it is good and food was good. Large pool; it said heated but the water wasn't that warm, just the room. It wasn't in town but town is just a short ride down the road; easy to find. I would recommend staying here.
I can say that the highlight of the trip is going to have to be Heather who worked in the breakfast bar. She was an absolute delight and she made sure that everything was refilled very quickly. The only real con that I would give was that The of the morning that we were leaving and we were taking a shower the water was not hot at all as a matter of fact it was almost cold. The breakfast was a nice breakfast they did have eggs and they had buttery biscuits which were quite delicious, gravy, and I do believe turkey sausage. They had a very cute game that was going on at the front desk where they stated that they lost a Christmas mouse and if you find it you get a reward so I thought that was very very cute.
This was our third choice for a hotel in the area. I want sure what to expect but check in was really easy and our s overnight stay was perfect. Bed was comfy and we would come back if in the area again. Breakfast was the typical continental breakfast.
We spent a long weekend in Madison and the Holiday Inn Express was perfect for our get away. The staff was friendly and helpful and the facility is quiet, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, due to COVID19, the exercise facility was closed and the breakfast offerings were very limited. In addition, the pool was closed for repairs. Despite those inconveniences it was still a very pleasant stay.
We stayed for four nights, and i can say that this location has the nicest, most accomodating staff i have ever encountered. Lu and her staff helped my with printing some things off of the computer in her office on her personal computer. We had an early appointment, and she had breakfast ready for us an hour early. The breakfast staff are great friendy and made us feel welcomed. The facility is clean and well lit. This was by far the best motel i've stayed in years and i travel alot.
We liked this hotel. It's a short drive from downtown Madison. Updated decor. Loved the black out blinds and shower. We had a king bed room so I'm not sure if other rooms have tubs. We enjoyed the breakfast and I loved their free coffee. It was excellent!
This is basic and standard Holiday Inn Express and is pretty much the only choice in town if you need to come here for business or family. Staff were friendly and the room was clean and recently remodeled or refurbished. Bathroom was also clean and spacious. Breakfast was basic but adequate, as was the gym. Overall the best part was friendly and helpful staff, but I feel like this is overpriced for the area as it has a monopoly basically. I would not normally expect to pay $150 a night in a rural / small town area in the midwest. If this were correctly priced at $100-120/ night I'd give it 4.5 or 5 stars. I will say that the internet was faster and more reliable than in most hotels charging twice the price - so kudos for that
The room was adequate for our needs - beds and bedding were comfortable. The room and hotel was very clean. There were plenty of USB plugs in the room, and a safe in the closet. We did not have a car and I walked to a nearby Domino's Pizza, which was fine after a long day of traveling. Breakfast was good. Staff at the hotel were helpful. One thing I have learned is to check the price on Trip Advisor, and almost always get a better price when I call the hotel myself to book a room, rather than book online. It's more work, but you can save some money. I also realized on this trip that many hotels give a Military discount (my husband is a Veteran).
We stayed here on a recent weekend trip to Madison. The staff was friendly. Our room was clean. Breakfast was the typical affair. No complaints! Would stay there again! It’s not too far way from historic downtown Madison and Clifty Falls State Park.
