A very pleasant, memorable stay by the sprawling hills of cheengeri.
3 nights out of which 2 nights in the presidential jaccuzi suite and 1 night in the phantom rock cave. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 boys aged 3 and 4.
Right from the check in counter, security staff, housekeeping, restaurant, everyone is very polite , friendly and courteous.
Breakfast is included in the stay, the spread could have been better, the choice is limited, but whatever they serve is of very good quality.
My first communication was with their sales manager Mr Aneesh who was very friendly and exceptionally helpful in assisting us to decide the rooms, explaining on the preparation of food, the features of the property.
The trekking guide, Ms. Abhirami was very helpful and cheerful, guided me to the top of Cheengeri hills. She was around the property and whenever we passed by would enquire as to how our stay was, always with a smile.
The guy at the reception, Mr Jithin was very helpful in checking us in, explaining the features of the rooms and property, advising us on the nearby activities and places to visit.
The restaurant manager, Mr. Renjith helped us choose from a very extensive menu, ensured us with regards to the safety and hygiene in food preparation. He and his entire team served us cordially and we were always made to feel at home.
Dinner is made to order as per our choice from the extensive menu they provide. Special recommendation to Eri pori chicken fry, chicken kondattam, ghee rice, mutton stew, mutton Rogan josh, herbal mutton soup, appam and porota. Flaky crispy porota, and very good appam. The prices maybe a little high, but rest assured the quality provided will trump the prices.
We loved the overall experience, the landscaping work is impeccable. The way the property is maintained along with the gardening works, water proof speakers installed everywhere on the property that plays very soothing music, it's green everywhere with both naturally grown wild plants/trees and their own wide variety of plants.
Special recommendation to try out the phantom rock cave, a room made out from an actual rock cave with a small structural modification, there is a small artificial water fall within this room, with water coming out from the rocks, it's so beautiful to fall asleep listening to a water fall, very peaceful and mentally relaxing.
I have stayed at 3 properties (in wayanad including the big names) and the attention to detail here is commendable and this is undoubtedly the best resort in wayanad for overall performance and experience.
Suggestions :
1. Please include an espresso machine so that you can provide a proper coffee.
2. Please include copper tub for hot water soak.

I have gone to many resorts but jone could match the ambience,homely atmosphere and finger licking food experience like Mount Xanadu! I have visited this place twice already and just can't get enough! The staff is amazingly courteous and professional! It is speckles and maintained very well. It's on a mountain and gives you a surreal sunrise and sunset view! You can go treking as well as enjoy all the amenities of this place. They have different cabins and they are extremely spacious and cosy.
If you really wanted to be pampered opt for the jacuzzi rooms. Worth every penny and the view is to die for!
It is extremely reasonably priced and a albeit a lot of resorts compromise on food, the food here is brilliant! They prepare everything fresh and you must try their organically grown pineapple juice and fruit! The difference in taste will make you regret having never tried organic fruits!
This is the best place to visit in waynard!

With corona virus scare cancelling our favourite southeast sojourns we were left with a last minute choice and in a whim decided on Wayanad as we had explored most of the other places in Kerala. We chose Xanadu as our pick totally relying on the reviews and pictures posted by fellow travellers. We were greeted by the very warm staff who had contacted us before we arrived to check if we need any help.The team is led by their manager Mahesh who surely is doing a good job in training his staff. We were greeted with a herbal drink and some local snacks and the first view of the premises from the lobby was breathtaking. Apparently it’s the highest altitude property in Wayanad .We were promptly taken to our room which had a lovely view with a balcony. In the evenings they arrange a short trek up the mountains for some scenic view points. It was pretty hot in this weather at day time but pleasant in the evening. I can just imagine how lovely this place would be in the rains with this kind of view. The resort is made with a lot of passion and the effort put on smallest of the detail can be seen. The infinity pool has a stunning view and is well maintained.there are board games, gym and small garden activities for kids. The food served too was delicious but with less rooms occupied they had to prepare the orders in advance. The breakfast served too had local delicacies and of course the usuals. Edakkal caves is very close to the resort but it’s quite a drive to Kalpetta and Vythiri for the other sightseeing activities. We absolutely loved our stay here-it was relaxing and we were taken good care by the staff. The restaurant staff Joseph and rahul were very helpful and sweet and also up for some conversations. The housekeeping staff too need a shout out for all the efforts they put in and of course the ever smiling Jithin who sits in the front office and always ready to help. Thank you for a memorable and lovely stay..we will see you in the monsoons.

Apart from the fact that the resort has the most breathtaking view, the tastiest food from every cuisine and a watch tower that gives you a 360° view of Wayanad, what makes them really stand out is their absolutely courteous staff!
These folks are so well behaved, caring and proactive that they attend to you like you are the most important person in the world. Each and every member of the staff right from the security at the entrance, to the reception, to the helpers fill the air of Mount Xanadu with happiness and positivity and serve you with a smile.
Now, coming to the resort. During this pandemic, we were wishing for a change of scenary and wanted to go to a place where we could spend the whole 3 days and 2 nights, without stepping out. And we hit the jackpot with this resort.
Didn't realise how quickly the 3 days were spent just exploring the length and breadth of this resort. They have even got a guided trek to Cheengeri hills from within the resort!
The trek was short but moderately tough, but our guide from the resort Baiju's calming presence really helped us beat our anxiety and complete this adventure. It was one of the highlights of the stay.
The resort offers the most awesome view of sunrise and sunset. It was truly magical and were lucky we had clear skies on both days to view it in its full glory.
A word of praise is truly due for the restaurant within the resort. Of all the resorts that we have stayed in, this one offered the best, most tasty and hygienic food. We absolutely relished the food be it Ammachi's fish fry and prawns dry fry (both are must try), the hot and sour soup with truckloads of finely chopped veggies, or even the hakka noodles was top notch and light on the tummy. Each item had quantities that could easily satisfy 2 people.
All in all, we were kind of sad throughout the return journey and couldn't believe this experience had come to an end. We were really tempted to spend one more day at the resort. But surely we would love to go back soon!

We stayed at this resort for 2N during September 2021. The resort has an Excellent view. The location is very good. About 1KM from main road. The road till the resort is paved and signs pointing to the resort, Hence there was no trouble reaching there. All Covid protocols were followed to the letter.
Coming to the resort, the view was excellent. It's worth visiting just for the view. They have about 20acre property and they have some 14 rooms. So, enough area for all. The food was great and so was the service. They took care of all our special needs. They have enough options for vegetarians and non vegetarians. There were complimentary snacks and soft drinks in our rooms.
The resort provides a watch tower at the top from which we can see entire valley in a panoramic view. There is a swimming pool, some indoor games area and a well maintained gym with sufficient equipment.
Overall, worth visiting the place. We went as a family of 5 with an infant. We stayed at Lake view exotic room. The room had an Excellent view of the hills and valley and waking up to that view each morning was awesome.

Beautiful view from the resort. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very evident that the whole resort and its concept is the passion of its owner. We stayed in their Jacuzzi suite and had a great stay experience. Worth every penny spent. The rooms and view points are all aesthetically done including their garden. You could hear soothing music everywhere in the resort. The food was great as well with restaurant staff ready to help and serve tasty food at your service. Overall had a great stay and would recommend Mount Xanadu for a great vacation.

One of the best resorts in Wayanad with a stunning view spanning most of Karappuzha dam, Ambalavayal town and the nearby areas. The resort is filled with lush green plants and a variety of birds. It is built by keeping the rocks and trees intact with minimal disturbance to the natural habitat. Along with the beautifully maintained spacious outdoors and the greenery it provides, this place really is one of a kind.
Serene atmosphere, modern facilities, neat and well furnished rooms and reception area along with a restaurant that provides great food makes this resort a getaway place with your loved ones.
The terrace area above the reception area provides a stunning view of the nearby hill Manjappara and Edakkal Caves. Other attractions include the cave room, trekking activity and the infinity pool. It also has a watch tower, a tree house and a game area with trampoline, slides, swings, cycling, table tennis, basketball net etc.
The place is also easily accessible from Ambalavayal town and the behaviour of staff was really comfortable.

Ultimate experience of amazing Hospitality and Blissfulness of this supreme resort. Starting from the resort infrastructure and architecture it's top notch, every single room in the resort gives you a different experience. From the watchtower, to the roof top garden, to the pool, to the rooms so thoughtfully located. Call the resort before booking so that you know all the categories of room and they would suggest you according to your requirements. This resort is placed at such a great location that would take you with surprise.We stayed there for 2 days for our first wedding anniversary, I would have not asked for a better place than this one. Just mesmerized by the resort haven't seen a resort like this one and having it here in waynad is a surprise. The pool here is an infinity pool with the Western Ghats 180° view, could not come over that pool yet. They have enough activities for kids too. If you want to just relax and unwind this is the deal. Every single penny spent is worth the money. Word's are less to explain the tranquility of this place one need to experience it. Giving 5 star's keeping all the aspects in mind, the food here is very good 👍. Finding vegetarian food in Kerala is a big task but this resort offers enough options with good taste. They do care about your opinion. Very good privacy in each and every room and the resort as they have just 14 rooms make's it more secluded. Your' every need is taken care of here. Such a soulful place. Hospitality at it's best, with limited guest's comes a great service. From room to restaurant to resort, and other needs everything is taken care of here, the staff's here are like friends, they speak to you in a very well mannered way, and would like to give you the best they could. I've experienced their hospitality and i could say i haven't experienced anything like this so far. Thank you Mr.Jidith, Aneesh and Joseph you guys make the best front desk team and thank you for all the efforts. I could write so much but words are less to explain the beauty of this place. I came across mount Xanadu while searching for resorts in wayanad for my anniversary celebrations. The resort is located on the top of the hill and offers breath taking views of river, hills and never ending greenery. Resort’s location is such that u can experience sunrise as well as sunset.
Every room in the resort has different architecture, and all are amazing in their own way. We had taken river view room, which has exceptional mountain and river view.
Resort’s staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Ever smiling faces made our stay extremely pleasant. Food is prepared with organic ingredients and tastes amazing.
highly recommended resort. I will look forward to my next visit at Mount Xanadu.

I have made the booking online after visiting their website....and it is exactly what it says in the site. The resort is very nice with great views all over... Everything is very well maintained and decorated. The view from the room is just mind-blowing.
From reception, room service, housekeeping to restaurant you will feel getting pampered. Thanks to Mahesh (GM), Jithin (Front office), Shajith (Chef), Joseph (Captain), Rahul, Prasanna, Subin. You guys really gave personal attention to all my needs and made my stay so special. I still remember my birthday celebration there. Kudos to the team. Keep up the good work.
There are lot of activities in the resort which will keep you occupied the entire day. The swimming pool is a must try (caution: don't dive straightway, water may be cold).
The food spread is good and tasty. The lunch/dinner spread; though not huge but is yummy and covers every taste buds. The deserts served are good. But there is stiff uphill climb inorder to reach the restaurant.. which may cause worry for some.
If you plan to visit Wayanad and your budget permits then this is the best resort where you should be. JUST SO PERFECT !!
