We have stayed @ Park Place several times when in Indianapolis for doctor appointments at the VA hospital. One or two bedrooms are the same price. It is so nice to have a living room to lounge and watch TV, not just lying in bed....More
We stayed overnight in Indy with our teenage son and needed sufficient "personal" space for everyone. This was relatively close to the event we were attending and reasonably priced for a "suite" type room. Other rooms nearby did not have a separate second sleeping area...More
The Park Place hotel has come a long way since the days it was filled with drug lords and prostitutes. The hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious (they were more suite like then hotel room like...which I really liked). Actually instead of one...More
We stayed here when we took our daughter to the University Hospital for a doctor apt. The suite was really nice and the staff was so very helpful as we had never been to Indianapolis before so we didn't know our way around. They provided...More

I am not aware of having no one @ the front desk. There has always been some body there when we checked in and when we checked out. There is a "sister" hotel within a few feet. It has a "store" where items can be purchased, such as snacks, sodas, milk, yogurt, fruit etc. Possibly they handle any needs. My son called down late one evening and the call was transferred to the "sister" hotel, maybe that was why?
I have never felt unsafe. The front doors of the two hotels face each other and it is well lit between the two. I'm not positive, but I think the other's name is Candlewood Suites. Again it is an older building. We have stayed 4 different times and had a separate room for each of my son's and their wives. I love the full kitchen and especially a refrigerator for cold drinks. Hope this helps. I would be glad to answer any other concerns if needed.
