The Conrad Indianapolis garners appreciation for its prime location in the heart of downtown, close to various attractions, and is often commended for its spotless cleanliness and elegant atmosphere. While guests frequently enjoy the comfortable and clean rooms, some feel the decor is slightly dated and have had mixed experiences with room service.
The hotel's amenities, including the Capital Grille and efficient valet service, are well-regarded, though the value proposition receives mixed reviews, with some travelers finding the costs steep given certain outdated elements.

This is a very nice hotel. Everyone here is extremely courteous and treats you like royalty no matter who you are. The room was nice but the bathroom was extremely nice. The location was very safe and convenient to local areas of downtown Indianapolis.

I stayed at the Conrad in celebration of my 40th birthday as a 2 night staycation that turned into a 4 night getaway all due to the impeccable customer service received from the staff and the amazing manager Adam. When first checking in I was offer $50 credit for breakfast at Capital Grille which is attached to the hotel. I arrived in my room and needed to change rooms and most hotels will just have you return to the front desk to retrieve your keys but Adam not only brought them to me, he also brought a pleasant surprise of champagne, chocolates, and cookies just for a minor inconvenience. I stayed in room 1515 which was a timeless beauty. It comes with a seating area, space for me to work, a very comfortable king bed, large tv, and ample storage space. The bathroom is stunning with large counter space, separate shower, and large soaking tub. The added bonus is the tv in the bathroom. The stellar rooms are not the icing on the cake, it is actually the wonderful pool and hot tub which is a very rare amenity these days. You will have to schedule a reservation to utilize it but that is a plus because it shows that they care about the safety of their guests. I extended my stay with this fantastic establishment for one reason only and that was the hospitality that I received from Adam. Each time I called or visited the front desk he addressed me by name and made sure that my time there was going as smooth as possible. It made me not only feel welcome but important. I have visited many Hilton properties but the Conrad will forever be my favorite. This hotel is in an area surrounded by many restaurants, shops, and is connected to the mall which is a great convenience. Also, if you are a wine lover you should definitely stop by Tastings wine bar which is also connected to the hotel. Thank you Conrad for a memorable experience.

In busy downtown Indianapolis, pull over and the friendly door guys will whisk your car away ($49 per night) and lead you to the artsy lobby. There’s a Chihuly inspired fixture and some great paintings that lead to an art gallery on the Lobby floor. Also, there is a nice wine bar with some wonderful snacks and the other side opens up to the famous Capital Grille (where breakfast/lunch/dinner are served.). You can walk to numerous wonderful restaurants.
Rooms are spacious and well appointed with comfy robes, a Lavazza coffee maker, double sinks, a separate shower and a deep soaking tub. Some of the furniture could be updated, but the room is very comfortable. During Covid, housekeeping does not come in daily - by request only. Service is wonderful even on a very busy weekend. Daniel from the lobby crew was especially friendly and helpful. There’s also a nice spa, though I didn’t have time to partake. Would absolutely choose the Conrad again.

+1
Excellent service from velvet, to check in to the room. Had driven several hundred miles and everything was perfect after a long drive. The front desk was thorough in explaining and assuring me of the sanitized conditions. Indeed, the room was spotless and sanitized from the light and lamp switches to the remote and anything else that would have been touched. Every amenity was granted except room service and mini bar. However, there is a wine bar and restaurant on location. Regardless, the room and bathroom are spacious and very comfortable. I’ll be staying again as I’ll be making that drive again in the near future.

This was my first stay at a Conrad Hotel, anywhere. I "think" that Hilton is trying to compete with Ritz or St. Regis with this offering, but it falls far short, and especially at this location. As a Diamond with Hilton, I've stayed at many properties across the U.S and abroad, and this property in particular falls far short of my expectations.
This wasn't my first choice in staying here. I tried to get the JW, and they were sold out. I generally tend to prefer the Marriott brand, and as an Ambassador, they take very good care of me.
To begin, downtown Indy is a little sketchy to begin with. The homeless population in downtown is getting worse, and safety is an issue for any traveler. The Conrad is located at ground zero downtown, while the JW is sort of removed from it slightly.
Check in was not what I expected, and the front desk gentleman was a bit rude and standoffish. When I inquired for an upgrade to my room, I was turned down immediately. The hotel was not fully committed, but this individual was not interested in looking, in the least. I was made to feel like a bit of an annoyance. Maybe it was my NY "accent".
Don't expect RECOGNITION of your status, here. I always get upgraded, elsewhere.
I was given a small corner "suite", quite tiny ... although the bathroom was decent size, and stocked well with towels.
The parlor area was also quite small, and the entire footprint of the suite was maybe 350 sq ft. Not generous at all for the amount paid.
They don't have their own restaurant, but rather have to rely on the Capital Grille next door for that. I was give a "breakfast" voucher by the front desk guy, but he also neglected to explain that it was for a continental breakfast ONLY. And, honestly, Capital Grille is quite expensive for breakfast, and their service level leaves a lot to be desired, also. They're NOT breakfast people, although they gave it a fair shot.
I don't think they have much of a view at this hotel, although the floor I was given was pretty low, so there wouldn't be a view, anyway.
The valet is non existent late at night, too. You leave your keys at the front desk. I don't think they have bellmen, either, after a certain evening hour. Nobody asked me if I needed any assistance, and I had to load the cart myself with my belongings.
Very disappointed in this Conrad, and although I might try another one in a different City, I will never come back here.
Stay elsewhere, and safe travels !

I stayed 5 nights at the Conrad in August. From the moment you enter the front doors, you immediately note the sense of classic refinement and luxury. The staff is very courteous and do their best to be intuitive of your needs. The rooms are clean, beds soft and comfortable. The Capitol Grille annexed off of the lobby serves some of the finest dishes in Indianapolis; but, make sure to bring your wallet as their are not many choices for the economy traveler. There is also a wine bistro contralateral to that location that offers tastings and unique eats.
Throughout the hotel, you can find a rotating selection of contemporary artists' selections with even part of a floor with suites dedicated to certain styles. The Conrad is conveniently located downtown close to many sights, restaurants, and things to do. I, however, limited my time away from the hotel as everything I needed was already there and I was working long days which limited my time to explore. Part of the hotel connects to a mall across the street via a conference center that ceilings the nearby intersection. Parking is by valet only and they are very prompt to collect your vehicle as well as have it ready for you in the morning with a simple call to the front desk.
Overall, the Conrad is a beautifully decorated hotel with luxury amenities in a great location staffed with friendly, accommodating people. I would recommend this hotel to anyone interested in being pampered during a stay in Indianapolis.

The room fees a bit old-fashioned but was very, very clean. No dust anywhere, even on picture frames or behind the TV. I believe it was the cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed in the US.
Digital check-in was a smooth experience, with everything I wanted like an extra key card already prepared in the room.

We usually stay at the Marriott or the Hyatt downtown Indy about 5 times a year. They were booked this time so we tried The Conrad. This hotel stay was BY FAR the BEST hotel stay that I’ve had in my life. The customer service is EXCEPTIONAL. They literally wait on you hand and foot. Our room did not have a refrigerator and I happened to mention it in passing by the front desk and next thing I know there was a refrigerator delivered to our room. We valeted two cars for two nights. They got the cars to us very quickly anytime that we wanted them. They offered us bottled waters every time we passed the desk. There were masks, hand sanitizer and wipes next to each elevator on all of the floors. They brought towels to our room and were extremely nice. We ordered room service and the food was excellent as was the service again. I have never stayed in a hotel that has treated people so nice and bent over backwards to please their customers the way that this hotel did. Adam and Sara at the front desk were extremely professional. They even sent me multiple texts during my stay to make sure everything was going OK. Due to their customer service and their hotel room rates, we will definitely stay at this hotel every time in the future.

We stayed one night as a couple to go to a comedy show nearby. We used the valet parking which was convenient and very quick. We drove up, they asked my name to pull up the reservation and that was it. The front desk was also quick and friendly. They also gave us directions on how to get to our show, which was just a short walk through the connection to Circle Center Mall.
The room was lovely. We didn’t have one of the newer rooms, but it still felt sufficiently up to date and very posh. It was very well appointed with bathrobes and even an umbrella in the closet. I didn’t use the coffee machine, but it looked nice. The bathroom had a gorgeous shower and soaking tub. There was even a TV in the bathroom if you are inclined to watch while in the tub or shower.
The bed was very comfortable and the bedding felt to be high thread count. We had an excellent nights sleep.
Everything was honestly perfect at our stay. This was the cleanest hotel I’ve ever visited. I could not find a single hair or crumb in our room. Everywhere we went in the hotel was similarly clean. No fingerprints, smudges or stains to be found. It was also very peaceful. I didn’t hear sounds from any other rooms even though you could tell they were occupied.
Overall I would say this was the nicest hotel we’ve stayed in. It was perfect for a quiet getaway.

Like the other Conrads I have stayed at, this one was no exception to the level of service expected. The experience starts up from the moment you pull up when the Valet comes over to guide you and park your car. Then you end up at the front desk where you check in. But unlike checking in at any other Hilton, there's something about it that makes it special and personalized. You may not notice it yet. But then you realize that you left your mask in your vehicle and you have to go back to your vehicle. Not a problem, they will provide one for you so you don't have to inconvenience yourself with something like that. The rooms are a bit dated for a Conrad, but it's nothing bad. You still got an awesome bath, bed that makes you feel like you're floating on a cloud above Egypt or something... you wonder if that's why they call it Egyptian Cotton. Jokes aside, the bedding is very soft, and there's not a single speck of dirt on it. Honestly, one could not ask for anything better. I had requested to the valet to leave my car out front as I was leaving within 30 minutes. And when I went outside, the Valet found me to hand me my keys and he had conveniently placed the car at the front so I could easily pull out. Got back late and had to find food options which the front desk staff helped out. And at this point if you haven't figured out why the level of service they provide seemed strangely personalized, it's because the staff actually tries to remember who you are and what your name is. They will refer to you by your last name (or any other name you provide them with) even if it's just the housekeeper cleaning the hallways.
I unfortunately did not get to try the breakfast which was apparently at the Capital Grille next door, but overall, it was a great experience and would definitely stay here again if I were going through the area.

Don’t know. Check with the hotel.
This was my first stay so I cannot answer if they were the same. The room was very clean, near spotless, and the bedding was greasy and comfortable.
I didn’t use their spa services but it looked really nice as I walked through it.
a block or half block away but it is neither free nor cheap
Not sure, but the hotel will be happy to answer. 317-713-5000. This is a nice hotel.
