One of the most memorable trips I have made was to the UK. Seveal hotels, stores and businesses were on the historical registry. So upkeep was constant and very hard. But the charm of knowing that several people over the years had experienced the same area I was seeing was awesome. We are so blessed in Indiana to be able...

Stayed here over Labor Day with friends. The big house looks nice but we stayed in the two cottages. The location is great for walking around town but that's about it. The owner/manager was not very friendly. The cottages are very short on amenities. There was NO soap, 1 roll of toilet paper for the weekend, coffee maker didn't work,...

Place was clean for the most part and the cottage we were in we think had been recently updated. Coffee maker didn't work and there was no hand soap or any soap provided and only 1 roll of toilet paper for the 3 day weekend. TV's are very small and only 5-6 channels available (not sure what cable package they...

If there is something positive about a place, I share it. This inn is so pretty, lots of room for a group, huge dining room, well stocked kitchen. But you know what - the owners put such a damper on our trip. First off - they don't furnish toilet paper. There were small partial rolls in each bathroom. There were...

We recently stayed at one of the historic downtown cottages to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday and I have to say if you appreciate old craftsman architecture with modern amenities in a property that is centrally located, then this is the place for you. A beautiful restoration of the old hardwood floors and integration of modern features made for an...

We stayed at Serendipity and it was perfect as a meeting place for the family and friends who were there for our son's wedding. Plenty of room to hang out and it was great to be able to eat breakfast on our own time tables and have a fridge handy for snacks and drinks. It was a great deal for...

As a group of seven, we had the entire house. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a large dining room table to gather for eating, games or just chatting. Two of the bedrooms upstairs share a bath which was no problem since we all knew each other. Because of the time of year, we did not get to enjoy...

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Artists Inn last November. The owner, Vesta, was incredibly accommodating and indulged our many questions about the house and French Lick. The home is the oldest in French Lick... I believe it was built in 1842 if my memory serves me correctly. The decor is quaint and comfortable, and if you...

I stayed at the Artists' Inn with a group a friends in October. The Inn advertises three bathrooms, one on the main floor. What it doesn't say is that the bathroom on the main floor has a claw foot bathtub that must not work. It was filled with half dead fern plants. Being physically handicapped, I had checked ahead of...

“I don't know about the other rooms as far as the size and perhaps the one room downstairs does have a private bath, but my suggestion to you is call and ask questions first before booking! There are NO REFUNDS at the Artists Inn. For the price you pay, you need to fully know what you get.”
