The location is in the middle of no where. The beds are rock hard. It was quite loud. People yelling and stomping on floors. Only plus it seemed clean and it was extremly clos re to the Casino. I would not recommend people to stay here. It was.very uncomfortable
Booked a room on their website & called to confirm. No reservation. The woman stated the website doesn't really take reservations. Her exact words: "It makes it look like it does, but it doesn't." What kind of hotel does that? I'm glad I found out before I got there. I'll pay the extra money and stay at the casino hotel.
This hotel wasn't bad for next to nothing! Only cost us $66 with tax. The room was clean...per usual throw the 'comforter' off the bed as this is likely washed twice a year. Belterra was running $250 a night because of the holiday. I am not going to lie I am terrified of hotels (although I stay in them regularly for work) because of how dirty they can be! This one was very clean! Don't expect a real breakfast but there was coffee in the morning...which is all I care about in the am anyhow! Good place to crash for the night.
The "Good" - large, clean rooms. Nice lobby, friendly reception desk, everything worked in the room, including the AC. The "Not so good" - bathroom door couldn't open fully due to hitting the toilet, old style bedspread, no fitted sheet..just flat sheet tucked in, old, box type tv, very little hot water - only one of us got a hot shower, over-priced for the location and type of hotel and doesn't recognize any AARP or AAA discounts. Breakfast consisted of some cereal and pastries...found juice and milk in a fridge as we were leaving. Wasn't told of the breakfast and no notice in room...had to ask about it. No phone books or any info about the hotel or the area in the room. It was the only hotel in the area other than a local casino across the street.
My husband and I went for two different reasons....I wanted to gamble and he wanted to go the races. The prices at Belterra were a little too much for my frugal nature so I booked at Fairway Inn. What a great decision. The hotel is extremely clean and the staff are so nice. The shuttle to and from the casino was right on time and I didn't have to wait to go gambling while my husband had the car at the racetrack. By the way, he was also very pleased with the Fairway because I was happy it was clean and he was just about 15 minutes for the race track. On a side note, I left my pocketbook in a drawer in the room when we checked out. It had my wallet in it although i had taken out my drivers license and some money to gamble with. I was at Belterra and my husband was at the…
Don't expect anything other than a room. Horrid customer service.
My husband and I chose the fairway Inn because it is almost directly across the street from Belterra Resort and Casino and because we couldn't afford the insane prices of a resort room, we decided to find a place less expensive to stay overnight. At first sight, it doesn't look like much..and that doesn't change with closer inspection. We booked our room through Priceline and when we checked in, it was clear that they did not have our reservation. No big deal but the lady behind the desk made no apologies and set us up with a room without saying two words. Onto the room. Yuck. It was not the cleanest space in the world, although it wasn't disgusting but it stank. Granted, it was a smoking room but it smelled as if the cleaning crew had passed it over quite a few times. The…
