To be in such a small town, what a delight this place is! Brought the whole extended family, rented the whole house and had a great visit. Extremely accommodating. Extremely affordable. If you appreciate old furnishing then you will love this place.

A group of friends and I stay at Schug House 4 nights twice each year to enjoy catching up with each other and scrapbooking. The proprietors and staff are phenomenal - feel more like family! The accommodations are lovely and the breakfast delicious. You won't be disappointed!

Was in town one night only for a funeral and at the Schug House Inn I found amazing hospitality at an amazing price. Comfy bed, quiet room, hot shower, free wifi and more. Cold beverages always available and breakfast when you want it. You simply cannot beat the Schug House Inn!

We have been to many Bed and Breakfasts that have three story towers but this is the only one we found with a bedroom in the tower. The bedroom reflected the Amish Swiss roots of the town with its comfortable functional design. The room was multi sided with pleasant view of town. The clopping of Amish carts passing by added...

We have stayed at the Schug House several times over the last few years. It is a charming Victorian home, which is very well kept, quaintly decorated, and very clean. We usually occupy several rooms by our cousins, and feel that we can make it our home while there. John is a wonderful host and makes sure we have everything...

My family has stayed at the Schug House every Thanksgiving weekend for decades. It's a charming historic home, run by wonderful owners, who go out of their way to make us feel welcome. Breakfast is a favorite for us - locally made cheeses, a variety of warm breads (poppyseed, croissants, etc) fruit, and more. We especially love the main floor...

We had a lovely stay at the Schug House in the delightful town of Berne, IN. Beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The room was very clean. All in all, a delight and a great value. We recommend it for sure. Also, Berne itself was wonderful, nice shops downtown and dinner at "Berne Dining" was a...

My Mother & I stayed here for one night - it was close to an event we were attending in Portland, IN. Very comfortable room, friendly staff and extremely reasonable rates. A light breakfast was included - fresh fruit, coffee or tea, OJ and homemade sweets - cinnamon bread/sweet orange rolls, sweet cake (of some kind) - great way to...

One of the best place's I've ever stayed. JoAn & I were bicycling through the area and heard about the Schug House so we booked a room. This place is beautiful. They also let us park our bicycles in the garage.

The Schug House Inn is an older home(s) and a unfolding story told only by those who have the good fortune of staying overnight. About 9 pm, a phone call and John met me at the 'house'. The house or apartment that I stayed in was unique and clean. I was by myself but this overnight stay boasted a large...
