We wanted an offbeat excursion and this was the perfect place. The resort is managed by Ram and Laxman and their family. It felt like home. Such a sweet family. The only drawback is the ferry to get there. If you are ready to sleep on the steel deck of the ferry, then a paradise awaits you on little Andaman. 4-5 days will be enough to explore this island. I highly recommend this resort to people who like eco tours and love the sea. You will find places to snorkel so carry your own snorkel. The resort can rent you a surfboard if you are into it. Amazing home food cooked by Laxman and family. While returning you can either come by ferry or book a helicopter ride ( around 3k to 4K rupees each subject to availability) We enjoyed it over here away from the hectic life of the city and I'm sure you will

it was our honeymoon trip... exceptionally we decided to choose Little Andaman as our destination.. as it is very remote and secluded from the main island.... our journey of togetherness has started with a memorable and everlasting trip at Little Andaman... we had 4 days stay at Greenwood . Ram Shankar and Laxman, owners of the resort took care of us like their own family members. we never felt like outsiders... we enjoyed every single time we spent with them.. .. good home made food, hospitality and a family far away from home make greenwood resort an exceptionally unique place to stay at Little Andaman...

We stayed 10 days in Greenwood Island Resort. We arrived there by chance. We first had planned to stay 4 nights, but it turned out that we felt so comfortable here that we finally decided to stay in this guest house and to spend more time on Little Andaman. We finally stayed for 10 days. We were warmly welcomed by the couple of owners, and their parents. They belong to the first Indian inhabitants on the Island. The whole family is caring, nice and interesting to talk with. Ram, the borther, made the conversation easier cause he speaks well English, but we know that's he's only in this place from time to time. The food there was really good : fresh, healthy and tasty. The rooms are comfortable and really clean. Thanks to this place, we'll keep a very very good memory of our stay on Little Andaman.

i booked a three night stay for my parents at the resort.as this was the first time they were travelling all by themselves i was unsure so i contacted the owner Mr. Ram shankar and informed him the details of the trip. Now following is an example of top notch service. Ram comes to port blair(8hrs sail from the resort) to recieve my parents which is neither a part of the package nor his job, since they could not take the ship back to little andaman the same day he made arrangements of for my parents to stay at his relatives house although my parents wanted to move into a hotel..he truly made them feel at home. The rooms have airconditioning and a very clean envirronment. the food is extremely nice and they make it as per your needs.they help you with sightseeing and make sure you are comfortable and are having a good time.i am so glad i chose this resort for a vacation as it was totally worth it..Thank you team Greenwood and special thanks to Ram and His family,.

Is wonderful time in wild island. Manager Santosh providing good service and always in touch with us: he have organized all local tours & sightseeing. The food we order in resort as per own requirements: local staff very helpful. Beaches: are clean, without tourists. Sightseeing: waterfalls, wild white-sand beaches, wild life. Most attraction: sea-plane. You have to try it once! Accommodation: is normal, standard accommodation. Please don't expect in wild-nature 5* facilities. A/C is available, hot water - of course, not. Attention: as you travel in India: (a) you have to explain about non-spicy food (b) plan your tasks with time-gap (don't expect services sharp-on-time)

A beautiful house made of wood and glass, in a garden full of flowers... Absolutly clean and confortable... Something rare... But what touched us the most was the hospitality full of heart and simplicity of all the members of this wonderful family. We felt so good with all of you! The food was also delicious and fresh, from the garden or wild from the jungle, with this main spice of love! Thank you.

Right from information on Greenwood Island Resort to booking, reaching destination with continuous guidance and staying was superb. We were three families and were welcomed with Tender Coconut which was so huge that none of us could empty it in one go. This was our first experience such a wonderful coconut and hospitality. We never felt away from home as entire gamut of our activities were taken care completely. In fact, it is managed by the family and the driver of Jeep which we booked through the resort was also very polite and understanding. Members of the family took care our entire trip with utmost care we never believed such a hospitality far away from the mainland (India). When it come to the people and culture, Little Andaman stole all our hearts as people are very helpful and understand. We also came to know that people in this Island do not lock their houses many a times and nothing is lost. Not many resorts in this island are of this quality & given the size of this island, this resort is very comfortable. Cost is not not high and anyone visiting this Island cannot afford to miss this Greenwood Island Resort and the excellent hospitality. The food is completely customizable according to the requirements of tourists. When it come to the beauty of Island, it us wonderful and so peaceful that we cannot imagine at crowded places. This is the place without any untoward incidents and suitable outing for peaceful and privacy for all - couples, family, group etc. Sea is wonderful with varied colors of water and safe beaches at few locations. Forest with huge & tall trees, water fall, secluded place for complete privacy and peace is ensured in this Island.

Staying with Ram Anand and his family was a wonderful way to sample some homestyle Andaman culture. Everyone in the family, from grandparents to kids, work hard to make you feel at home and to add as many creature comforts as is possible on this far-flung island. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the food was consistently delicious and the family's smiles are warm and genuine. Every request we made was catered to. I mentioned having a barbeque one evening, describing the barbeque concept with a crude drawing. By the next evening they had hand-made a grill, skewers and built a hearth ready to cook some fish for dinner. Briliiant! Having stayed at a couple of other places on Little Andaman previously I can honestly say this is the way to do it. It feels like staying with an island family but with western comforts.
