We are in our early to late 30s and wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. We visited Punta Uva and stayed at Pachamama over Thanksgiving break and rented the one bedroom, while our friends rented the Casita. After 7 days / nights of beach, bike riding, exploring, nature, and peace and quiet, I...

We stayed here for a week and would like to strongly advise folks NOT to stay here. If you decide to stay here despite reading the review, at the very least, get a room with a kitchen. Our vacation was ruined. Details below. SERVICE Daily breakfast of pancakes, french toast, or eggs along with fruit/granola and coffee is included. One...

Since February 2013, we are the new owners of Pachamama. Did you like the environment Pachamama, much less services. We invite you to discover the new Pachamama. Accommodations fully renovated (bedroom, kitchen, bathroom), full breakfast served on your terrace, daily housekeeping, bicycles available (free) and a fully landscaped garden. We will be delighted to welcome you and show you the...

My husband and I had the casita for a week and it was definitely not enough - can't wait to go back! Pachamama fit our idea of a GREAT beach/jungle vacation - laid back, casual, and perfect for do-it-yourself adventures, but with the great advice and help of Bill and Cathy who have awesome local knowledge. We enjoyed every minute...

My wife, mother-in-law and I stayed at Pachamama on the southern Carribean coast of Costa Rica the first week of November, 2010. This may have been our last big vacation together, as my mother-in-law is moving to Florida at the end of the month - it could not have been more perfect, in large part due to Bill and Cathy...

My boyfriend and I stayed several nights in the casita, and sadly we checked out early and were so glad to leave. I had fairly high expectations from all the glowing Tripadvisor reviews, but what I read here and what I found at Pachamama were very different things. If you decide to come here, lower your expectations for service and...

Our most relaxing vacation ever, no plans, just the easy life. Bill and Cathy are so nice, and give better advice than the travel sites. Each morning we enjoyed Bill's Costa Rican coffee, best in the world. Then off sightseeing on the bicycles supplied by Bill, forget a car, you don't need it. Punta Uva beach is absolutely beautiful, with...

We loved staying at Pachamama. Bill and Cathy are fabulous hosts and La Casita was perfect for our family. It was great to have a kitchenette--we used it everyday. We were very close to a gorgeous beach and monkeys swang in the trees above our bungalow. The hammocks were relaxing and the enclosed porch was perfect for our 2 1/2...

This review is way overdue, so I apoligize to Bill. I stayed at Pachamama from July 2-6th and enjoyed every minute. Bill is a wonderful host and his cooking is truly amazing. His breakfasts every morning were perfect and just what I needed and then some. Great coffee, too!!! His dinners are exceptioal, I had his Shrimp Caribe style twice,...

We stayed at Pachamama for our first 5 days in Costa Rica. This was the perfect home base to start a relaxing vacation. The bungalow was right in the middle of the jungle. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching all of the amazing wildlife. There was a toucan nest in a nearby tree and we watched 2 toucans...

This place came highly recommended to us. Upon arrival, we found a very badly neglected bungalow, smelling very musty, and looking dirty. We rented bikes and had to go back 3 times because their was something wrong each time; tire popped, seat falling off, not holding air, plus they were all rusty (obviously left outside and not cared for). It...
