very excellent service from the Management team and housekeeping maintenance just the whole staff. friendly helping, rather directions or car jump or somewhere to eat. I would definitely recommend anyone and Family and pets to come to visit the place when you are in Chicago. A+
I wouldn't stay here again if they paid me. First the Internet is horrible ever after I paid for the upgraded internet service. It's satellite internet and TV and it's beyond horrible. The next issue I have with this hotel is with the staff. House cleaning entered my room and decided that my cats were urinating on the carpet and called everyone to check it out including the district manager. They all decided that my cats were urinating on the carpet. They were 1000% incorrect. I had two cat boxes in the bathroom and my cats have never urinated on the floor. And there was not a single wet spot anywhere on the carpet. The district manager could not have been more rude if she tried. I was informed that I was to move out immediately because of the odor in the room. I cleaned the cat boxes at least twice a day and had Pet Fresh Odor Eliminator in both boxes. The person at the front dest said she could smell my room all the way down at the from desk. That's impossible even if my room had a odor because I was down at the end of a long hallway and there was a 90 degree turn and the office was located down that hallway. I late invited that person down to my room and she said she really didn't notice anything. Bottom line is I moved out and relocated at a Marriott Residence Inn. Their pet deposit was only $100 as apposed to Extended Stay American's $295. I now have a room that's two time larger with a full kitchen, a real desk, a table and chairs, fireplace, couch, real internet service and TV for the same price. And the Marriott Residence Inn is 10 times nicer. I forgot, the Marriott has a real breakfast and a swimming Pool. For the same money as Extended Stay America you can stay in a really nice hotel.…
I want you to know your Internet Service is the worse I have ever come across and will note it on public websites where reviews are available for public viewing. It constantly goes down, only lasts for a couple of hours uninterrupted at its very best. You can only hook up one device at it cannot be connected by WiFi it must be by an Ethernet cable or some other hard-wired method. I don't know whatever hidden charge you put in the room rate for the Internet service, but if it is more than zero it is way too much. In fact, given the level of service, your Internet provides zero is too costly. Despite your statements of having support available none is available I have called the support line at least a half dozen times, and note of the "technicians" know what to do or was going on. I got many different answers to the same questions. The problem is ESA will not let you bring in an outside provider even if you are willing to pay for it. There is an old cliche what's cheap is dear, and nothing is cheaper than zero which is infinitely worth more than the Internet service ESA provides.…
The hotel is Great and the Staff is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! You are within walking distance to stores and restaurants. the customer service is fantastic. I would recommend the hotel to anyone. This is the best Extended Stay America.
This place is wonderful. Great people, great staff throughout the hotel. Close to shopping and grocery stores. Hotel set back off of main Street gives a bit of peace and quiet. Been here over a year now.
I have been here since October 2019. I love this place they have been a Godsend to me. They treat me as a member of their family. Everyone here is so professional and friendly even when I wish they weren't.(HA) I enjoy staying here and have for the last 90 days. The location, building, and team make me want for nothing. Having social anxiety makes dealing with large groups of people a challenge. Things like loud noises, random people standing around, only heighten that insecurity. This hotel has everything I could possible need. It is clean, quiet, does not smell funky, the rooms are large, have everything you could want and give me a small since of peace and calm in a otherwise loud world. Having read a lot of reviews both positive and negative I want to cover some things to help the next person. 1. Yes people drink here and they drink out front minding THEIR OWN business // 2. People smoke in their rooms not right but having stayed at the Ritz multiple times they smoke in their rooms as well usually drugs not cigarettes // 3. People smoke out front of the building // 4. People don't put their cigarettes butts where they should (same thing at the Ritz) //5. Breakfast (that's free) is just that, its coffee, muffins, oatmeal etc their is a Denny's literally a mile away or use the kitchen in the rooms and they have pans at the front desk with plates and silverware // 6. Is it difficult to find? Yes which makes it awesome for those that don't want a lot of noise or traffic // Here is a fun fact"" Sun Tzu once wrote " Know your enemy"" If you are upset about these things realize this. In the name "Extended Stay America" the key phrase is Extended Stay. Many people like myself live in this hotel some by circumstances and some by choice and some by both. This is a home or a home away from home for many others like truck drivers, military personnel, government employees, and people way smarter then me. If you cant understand what that means please stay at a full service hotel that will give you the ability to be a number rather then a person. Their are many near here. Ashley, Sunshine, and the rest of the team from maintenance to housekeepers are amazing, they are nice, cordial, smile, and every time I have asked for anything they have responded with out question. No rolling of the eyes, or behaved in a less then hospitable way on top of which they will allow lonely people to rattle at them with smiles on their faces and as I have witnessed you can " Hit their cars in the parking lot and as long as you are honest and truthful and not an ass you can continue to be part of their family" I personally want to say a huge Thank You to the team at Extended Stay Chicago Vernon Hills Lake Forest. My only complaint which Sunshine is aware is the inconsistent nature of the internet, it drops from time to time.…

I have stayed there for over a year. It is quiet, clean and efficient for me. The staff is friendly. Ashley and her team do a great job. They have just added new cable and internet service. I am very happy about the new cable service.
Smoke free hotel but rooms smelled from smoke! Checked out a day earlier. Limited complimentary breakfast. A common sight people smoking and bringing beer in front entrance of hotel. Overall, staff was helpful.
Since the hotel is not located ON Milwaukee Ave. We called the desk for directions but the clerk was unable to help. We literally drive in circles for almost an hour. When we finally arrived several men were drinking beer near the front entrance and one jumped up to go behind the front desk. Rooms were scarce that date so we stayed. We left for dinner and when we arrived back no less than 6 police officers were entering the hotel. We waited a few minutes then the officers said all was okay. It was very unsettling. There is NOT a breakfast not even what can be considered a continental breakfast; just a few items on a small table.
