Had lunch here on easter sunday and it was amazing. Sat in the lovely garden. I had salmon caesar salad and my husband had the beef roast. We then shared sticky toffee pudding and the lemon trio. Everything was delicious. Presentation beautiful. Dog water bowls in the garden. Would love to go back next time we're in Devon.

Went for a celebratory evening meal. The Rock Inn has several eating areas, the main bar which is our preferred choice, a seperate dining room which tends to have bigger groups sitting there and a light and airy atrium area. There is also a small 'bar' area. Serious walkers are welcome, in the summer you can sit outside in the...

The Rock Inn was recommended to us by our landlady and it did not disappoint. Simple menu but well executed is always a sign of good pub food. My duck scotch eggs came poached and was really tasty. Fish and chips was very fresh with a crisp batter and home made chips. Washed down with reasonably priced and very drinkable...

Staying at the Rock Inn was a wonderful experience. We were greeted when we came in and accommodated so well. The cream tea on our first day was delicious and much needed, and the breakfast was exceptional and, again, very accommodating to our needs. We had dinner there on the first night, and the quality of the food that came...

This beautiful hotel was a really unexpected find. The staff are warm and welcoming and the atmosphere is intimate without being too stuffy or formal. The food on both nights was exquisite. My husband and I are vegetarian and it is usually hard to find such lovely food as part of the day to day menu. The vegetarian breakfast omelette...

Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your recent stay. Great food and a cosy welcoming atmosphere is what we always strive for and we know it makes a walk on the moor in bad weather so much more rewarding. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

I loved this place..we didn't expect to have lunch here as we thought it was a bit late in which lunch was ending in half an hour and it looked busy..so we were pleasantly surprised when we were able to get a table for 2 next to the fire place with no trouble whatsoever. We had roast beef which was...

Many thanks for your review and feedback. We are glad you found us and that we were able to find you a table on what is always a busy Sunday lunch service. Now that you have sampled our food we hope to welcome you back on many occasions in the future. Thanks again.

The Rock in is a few minutes walk from Haytor in a quiet village. It is has a cosy snug and light breakfast room. We had a delicious cream tea, fabulous evening meal and very good breakfast. The staff were extremely friendly and helpfu. We stayed in a cheaper room which was pleasant. The more expensive rooms are super. We...

The Inn is situated in a lovely village off the beaton track and first impressions were pleasing, its set in a terrace of whitewashed small cottages. Inside there are lots of quaint areas on different levels. Staff welcoming and attentive and the atmosphere was quiet at first becoming noisier as the place filled up with families for Sunday lunch. As...
