My wife and I have stayed in the cabins many times. this was our first time in the Hotel wing. It was awesome. The food in the restaurant was excellent (especially the pot roast and the side of cornbread stuffing)! We enjoyed the "great room, playing board games and listening to the live music from the bar. Everyone was so...

You have just got to make some time to get to this Lodge. It was built in 1939. Impressive, Romantic and so much Fun. The dining room boast a large lovely fireplace, and so does the large common room. Large beams and open area with images of the State Park and its history adorn much of the lodge. Hiking the...

From other reviews I had anticipated the lack of soundproofing between rooms within the cabins, but hadn't quite been prepared for the feeling that you were actually in the room with your neighbors. That's how ineffective the soundproofing is. In our case our neighbors got in around 1am, and thus began a very noisy, very profane, remarkably long running, bout...

Thanks so much for taking the time to make a review. Your thoughts on the signs for noise are excellent, frankly I'm not sure why we haven't thought of this ourselves. We have repeatedly asked the State if we can tear out the walls and sound proof them but as the cabins are on the National Register of Historic Places...

We stayed in the hotel lodge area. Clean rooms. Amazing hiking in park. Dinner in lodge was great, a bit pricey but worth it. Swam in pool, hot tub and sauna and all were clean. Highly recommended. Make sure you go to the park near starved cave rock called matthiessen state park. It's beautiful as well.

Our family stayed in the hotel wing over night. The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious (2 queen room). Kids loved the large pool, there is also a hot tub, kiddie pool, and sauna. Overall, it was a nice stay and something to consider doing again. High recommend.

I always request the "newer" wing. Furniture is rustic looking and comfortable. Been coming here for years and years. This is the first time I stayed on the first floor and it was very nice and quiet. Rooms have plenty of room. Ate a dinner and breakfast at the lodge. Dinner was great, beakfast, had a skillet, was too salty...

We hoped to see some bald eagles from the lookout surrounding the Lodge but no luck today! We settled for a very nice lunch in the main dining room. Nothing fancy but the food was very good, even though it took a while to get it. We were there on Presidents Day and they were packed so I give them...

Loved the whole experience! Grounds and surrounding area are gorgeous! We visited in January which is Bald Eagle Season. The river wasn't frozen so we missed the big groups congregating at the river, but we saw 4 of them flying or perching as we went on our hikes. There is no shortage of beautiful trails to walk, the lodge was...
