We had high expectations for this stay and they were more than met. Julian met us at the airport when we arrived about 9am. We ate a light breakfast of delicious leftovers from the breakfast they had just finished serving while Brom quickly made up our room so we could shower after a long flight from the US Brom gave...

Julian & Brom were great hosts and the room provided a relaxing retreat on our trip. We really enjoyed our time there and will be back at our next stay in Sydney. The breakfast was absolutely divine and we connected with people. How often does that happen in big motels? Thanks again Julian & Brom. See you next time.

I chose to stay at Tara over another guest house due to the speedy and friendly replies to my questions. Julian and Brom are so friendly and are very knowledgeable about the local bus routes, restaurants and generally what is going on in Sydney. Honestly they really are people people. Breakfast is served at 8.30am on weekdays and 9am on...

we had our hopes very high for this place given its past reviews. thankfully we left with the same overall impression as past guests. the hosts were kind and friends. the rooms were lovely. my only slight problem was the dog who seemed to just be free to roam around the place. but hey, i am more of a cat...

My husband and I travelled to Sydney from the US for the first time in May of this year for our honeymoon, and were so happy with our decision to stay at Tara Guest House. Julian was highly accommodating in regards to our transfers to and from the airport (this adds a great deal of value to the cost of...

I wanted to stay in a smaller establishment as staying on my own this time, I needed to be near my son who lives in Canterbury and found this special guesthouse on searching the net. Even in England I have never come across a more welcome, clean and friendly place to stay. I stayed at Tara for nearly 3 weeks...

All of the other reviews have said it all. Tara House with Brom and Julian is just the best. I am not a big fan of a B&B. I like more privacy than is usually offered in a B&B. But Tara House was perfect for me, even though we shared a bath. The hosts were fascinating people. Their graciousness was...

Everyone has said it all from the great pick up to the breakfasts to Brom's terrific maps and advice,to the rooms and general decor around the house and a special take-away breakfast for my onward trip. Everything and more - if there was a school for how to run a Guest House Julian and Brom would be its professors!. Thank...

If you want to get away from the standard big city tourist trail, then Tara is the place to stay. Fabulous quirky area, not yet too 'gentrified', with fabulous hosts Julian and Brom who can advise you on anything and everything. Breakfasts are amazing, you need to see them to believe and the communal kitchen area makes for a relaxing...

We had an excellent stay at the Tara Guest House. Both Julian & Brom were fantastic hosts. We stayed in The Rocks for a few days, flew up to the Whitsundays and then stayed at Tara for 3 days in Sydney near the end of our trip. Our plan was to stay closer to the major tourist attractions and then...
