We like Hampton Inns in general, but this one was especially wonderful for a week in Chicago. First, the staff is wonderful and makes every guest feel special. I'd definitely give a shoutout to Danielle who made the two room reservation for our family visit doable. She was so accommodating and personable. The front desk is served by many hard-working and friendly people: Nicole, Tracey, Anesa and super-duper multi-tasking Macy were ones we interacted with. The hotel is just off I-94 and very near Old Orchard Mall which has quite a few restaurants. Skokie also has many types of restaurants. The rooms are comfortable with good bathrooms and beds. Although some people might object to the 30- 45 minute ride to and from the tourist attractions in Chicago proper, we felt fine with it and enjoyed seeing the neighborhoods of Skokie and free parking at the hotel. For city parking, we'd really recommend SpotHero. It made city parking extremely relaxing. In every way, my husband and I found this Skokie Hampton marvelous.

Consistent with what one expects from the chain, this hotel was clean, the rooms were well-appointed, and the staff were courteous and efficient. Everything was as it should be. A great place to stay -- I shall return!

Great staff, everyone was helpful, friendly, competent, professional and kind. Good breakfast for one that is included. Not served or extravagant but lots of choices and generous. . Room was clean, staff works hard. There is a decent size indoor pool.

I had some work in the area and booked 24 nights at this hotel.I am a diamond member . I had checked In digitally on my Hilton app , chose a room on higher floor but it never showed my room ready even after 3pm. So I had to check in person at the front desk which is fine and no big deal. What's the point of digital check in? During my first week of stay, I didn’t receive proper house keeping service even after talking to the front desk in person and on phone from the room . Very poor communication between front desk and house keeping department? I saw Hairs on bathroom floor and I called to have proper cleaning , an English speaking house keeping supervisor comes to my room and says “this is ridiculous “ few times to me. Went down and spoke to Macy Arriola , so called “ guest service manager” to have house keeping service but she was very rude and told me “ “go stay at another hotel if you don’t like it here!” From that day on, I rarely ever looked back at the front desk employee and it gave me very bad vibe . How can they talk.to their guests like this ? no courtesy or respect for your customers ? I left voicemail to the general manager Richard sasso and he never reached out to me . I had to extend my stay in the area for another week and called the manager but they lied to me about calling back the next day . As a guest with lots of choice , I don’t care if they don’t want my business . But all these shows how terribly they deal with their guests . They act as if their run a 1 star motel or something like that . I forgot her name but one of the front desk lady was super nice, frank and helped me print some papers from the printing machine . I started to receive proper House keeping service after the first week and I don’t blame the house keeping ladies for lack of proper communication from the front desk employees . These house keeping ladies are hard working and good. The breakfast is just about average. The laundry on 6 and 3rd floor don’t work . After the wash , my clothes were soapy, the dryers have no heat and I had to dry the clothes in my room. Just a waste of lots of coins and your time. Hilton can do much better then this with better guest managers. I don't recommend this property for long stay!

This hotel is so convenient and we loved that they had a pool. However, the breakfast had no vegan options (I mean, not even a carton of oat milk for coffee/tea/cereal??). Also, the pool itself and the area around it was often rather unclean (people's bandages, bottles, clumps of hair, etc.). And I didn't like that you had to sign into the wifi afresh every couple of days. There was only one washing machine and one dryer, and they were nearly always taken, and people often left their clothes in there for hours. Finally, there wasn't enough cutlery or plates in the room for 4 people, even though the room was for 4. We had to take turns to eat! The staff were always friendly, especially the cleaning ladies. We would stay here again, ideally with vegan breakfast options and another washing machine!

Due to a night of horrible experience with another hotel chain, as well as a failed attempt to book Double Tree in Skokie, I decided to give Hampton Inn & Suite a try. Surprised! Shout out to "Anesa" who took my reservation over the phone, she LISTENED ATTENTIVELY to my requests, and she confirmed my booking without me repeating any word twice. Upon checking in, the manager on duty, "Macy," obliged me and showed me the rooms before I move in. The rest of the girls at front desk, Kristle, Becca, and others are extremely friendly, smiley, helpful and cheerful. AND!!!! The environment and breakfast are decently clean. Room services for extra towels, pillows, shampoos are fast. I cannot say enough how wonderful my experience is with Hampton, and this Hampton only, because they are part of Hilton but they are managed by a different property management company. Kudos to you all. When I come to town in the future I will not hesitate to RSVP with you again. Thanks again for your great hospitality. You deserve a huge recognition in your industry. To all the travelers: Remember! Despite you ha e lot of money, you might not get the best services in town. When you are given some points or mileage or free hotel stay, they most often offer you the worst rooms, worst flight schedules or transit times. Hence, don't be a miser when you wanna travel. Spend some money, tips and compliments those who served you well, and make sure the top management knows when their staff or franchises not working out well to your expectation. You pay "peanuts," you get monkeys. You want elephants in the room, try pay with some "bananas." Cheerios!

This is a very nice Hampton Inn located north of Downtown Chicago. I have never stayed at a bad Hampton Inn, they are great family of hotels. I stayed on the 2nd floor and my room was great, spacious and well decorated, spotless, completely spotless, not a speck of grime anywhere in the room or bathroom, which had great towels and toilet paper, and great showers as well.Bed was terrific very soft I wish I had a mattress like that back home. Breakfast was good, On-site restaurant was good too. I wonder if this hotel used to be a Hilton Garden Inn or an Embassy Suites previously because the amenities here are top notch. They do have a pool but not hot tub, but some of the online pictures indicate they have a hot tub, but I didn't see one. Very Clean hotel would stay here again when in Chicago. This place is one of the nicest Hamptons I have ever stayed at.

Request to stay safe on the parking lot side. Traffic starts heavy around 4:30am and sounds like it’s directly outside your window if you’re on the highway side. Rooms were basic, nothing to write home about.

Overall it's not a bad place just to get some shelter to sleep after a day of activites outside. However, if you're looking to spend a good amount of time inside the building, maybe not so much. Restaurant in building is also not opened a good amount of time.
