The hotel staff was very supportive. The location is great with close proximity of market. Rooms were very clean and room Space was good. Oven was not available in room but was available at reception.
We stayed in this hotel for three night. The room is spacious and clean. The location is perfect! Everything that you might want is around you; Old Orchard Mall, breakfast restaurants, fine restaurants, ..etc

Customer service is very poor which impacts stay. Checked in and requested room cleaning / service at time of check in. They asked me for a time which I provided (noon). The following day we left the room and made sure to remain out of the room. We returned to find the room had not been touched. At 3 PM we had no one come to clean the room this I called the desk to enquire and was told that they would call housekeeping and let me know what happened. Housekeeping showed up at the door and said “here are your towels” and “do you have trash for me”. I then asked are you going to come in and clean the to which he replied that he would ask his manager. I return yo the front desk and asked to speak to the manager (Rob Watson). He informed me that he took the initial call from me. I explained the situation and he said that he would call again. I asked for his business card and he informed me that he didn’t have one. I asked for his contact info and he provided me with it. I walked away only to discover that he provided the hotel name, address, and phone numberbit didn’t provide his name. I return to the desk to retrieve his name. Look I realize that the hospitality service is short staffed and housekeeping isn’t done unless requested but can the hotel at least fulfill the request when made ? Can they actually clean the room and not simply deliver towels? Can the manager actually own the request and when not completed at least provide his name when request? Can the hotel provide the manager with business cards? Come on folks.…

A religious convention complete with band and singing starting at 8am under my room. An employee walking in room while my wife is in shower. Terrible service and management doesn't care. Longtime Hilton diamond supporter but this place is a nightmare.
The hotel has been undergoing renovation. The experience has gotten worse each time I stay there. 1st time was the noise level. 2nd time is the big crowd in the hotel and the shower got clogged without much service. 3rd time is that they change locks for the rooms without prior notice that I had to go up and go down to get new keys. The sound proof is not so good. If you have a noisy neighbor, you can hear everything. The location is convenient, other than that there is nothing to attract me to come back again.
Room was clean but they were terrible at restocking each day. Pool and fitness center missing towels most mornings. No wipes for fitness most days. Average at best. I complained on my last stay but it was worse this time.
DO NOT CALL their general phone number to book rooms. They route their calls to offshore call center where their customer rep do not speak proper English, they don't listen to your request attentively, made you repeating several times, and even the manager cut off my line and never call me back to resolve my RSVP. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED for a branded hotel chain like Hilton. Doesn't mean you have money and you will get good services. I would recommend you Hampton Inn & Suite if you need a hotel in Skokie area. Stress free in Hampton.
The bed in my room was way too soft for me; I knew right away that I would wake up in the middle of the night with back pain. I called the front desk to ask about a room with a firmer mattress: no luck---all the mattresses in this newly-renovated hotel are made the same! So I said I would try sleeping on the floor on top of the four bed pillows and requested more bedding, which they provided. Sleeping on the floor wasn't great, but it worked better than the bed would have. The next day, a cousin suggested that I ask for a rollaway. Duh! You'd think the front desk would have suggested that on their own, but no! The rollaway was delivered while I was out, but left vertically, for me to move around to position in the room. (It was a tight fit.) Sleeping on the rollaway still wasn't great, though it was better than my first pillows-on-the-floor solution. Why would DoubleTree think that the same mattress works for everyone??…
