What a wonderful bed and breakfast! The building itself is impressive, a historic brick farmhouse with two guest sitting parlors, beautifully decorated and comfortable, as well as a wrap-around porch with a swing and tables. My parents stayed in the Cornelius Flagg room, which was spacious and elegant, and I stayed in the Farmhands Roost, which was a spotlessly clean...

My family stayed here over a weekend and we loved it! We stayed in the Sarah Flagg room which was so nicely decorated, clean and quiet. It was quite hot out when we were there, but there was a.c. and we slept very comfortably, also with the ceiling fan on. The owners were wonderfully accommodating. The breakfast was delicious. We...

I would highly recommend staying at this lovely B & B when visiting Springfield. The 1870's Italinate home is on the National Register of Historic Places and is immaculately clean and well furnished. The owners,Doug and Rose, are able ( and happy!) to answer questions about the Springfield area and it's many historic sites. They will even reserve tickets to...

As others have said; immaculate, warm, inviting, gracious hospitality, relaxing and beautiful historic home! We were accompanied by elderly parents and Doug and Rosalie were very attentive...

The grounds, the accomodations, the food and the hosts were all outstanding.Doug & Rosalie warmly welcomed us upon our arrival; they answered questions, suggested restaurants to eat at, and guided us as to things to see and do in Springfield. The couple who own this B&B are wonderful people! The house is clean and beautiful!!!! Very easy access to downtown and other historic sites. Beautiful front porch to sit and relax! Breakfast was lovely!! You sit and get served- fresh fruit, cornmeal blueberry pancakes, homemade granola, etc. We spent 3 nights there. Rosalie and Doug are pitch-perfect in setting exactly the right tone for this beautiful, historic B&B. Every room in this home is tastefully and elegantly decorated and is immaculately clean. The atmosphere is warm, hospitable and relaxed -- the opposite of stuffy. The attention to detail is remarkable. Our stay was enhanced by many small kindnesses -- iced tea on...

Doug & Rosealie were fantastic hosts for this awesome surprise birthday present! I have driven by this gorgeous & wonderfully maintained home for years and had always wanted to spend the night there. I had built this place up in my head on how it looked on the inside & wasn't disappointed in anything. Doug & Rosealie greeted us as...
