The location is close to the lower end of the lake. There is ample room to park tow vehicles and trailers. There are electric hookups outside to charge batteries. The room was clean and served its purpose. It practical not fancy.

We have stayed at this motel twice due to the proximity to the reservoir across the street which is great for fishing. The town of Shelbyville is a small, quaint and quiet, perfect for what we were looking for. The hotel rooms were inexpensive and worth exactly what you paid for them, they have a good size mini-fridge, cable tv...

We went here for a short vacation. We chose it because it was a pet friendly motel. The room was large but bath was small and need some work. The bed was ok. It was near the road but all was quiet at night. Lake Shelby was across the street. This gave us a good spot to walk the dog. We...

The worse i ever stayed in,carpet is terrible, blankets had burn holes all over and the room smelled. Go in town nice place to stay there. I was afraid i was going to catch something there. Save your money and go downtown or go back to matton. You will be glad you did.

Stayed for one night because I needed something in this area and hated it. The towels were so thin you could see through them. Old and musty, floor was scary. There is something better in town. Might be ok for fisherman looking for something cheap. Wifi was awful.

One must remember that you cannot expect 4-star treatment or ammenities at a place lik the Spillway Motel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well furnished. Ours even had a full size fridge for those there to fish and needing to keep their catch cold before travelling. There is a good size parking lot for trucks and boats, and we...

Stayed here for a weekend. Let's see. Our feet stuck to the floor, um carpet. The smell was stuck in my sinuses for a week. Spare yourself the agony. If you're fishing, commute in from Mattoon. You will be glad you did.

Nice for the price. Nice warm and dry for several of us guys going fishing. Quiet room and super dark window treatments to block out any light. (for those light sleepers) They have a surprisingly LARGE variety of tackle in their bait shop, and good variety of live bait. Staff was friendly. HUGE, freshly paved parking lot, well lit with...

This is probably the worst hotel I have ever seen. Filthy, smells horrible, moldy. Degenerates hanging around. One bar on WIFI. We couldn't even stay two minutes. Of course we couldn't get our money back. But I guess it was worth it just to leave the place.
