Camping with a view and marvellous location... walk along the island, sleep and wake up to a million dollar view... for less than a hotel night cost... AMAZING... took a ferry from Woolwich... picked dinner from Circular Quay... just fabulous and we also had 3 kids under 8 with us...

Absolute hidden gem. I'd never heard of it, stumbled on it during a web search for convict settlements. Brilliant concept, excellent camping facilities, the glamping means you can fly into Sydney with only a carry-on bag, get the train and the ferry and then you're camping in the middle of Sydney Harbour. Great place to explore for a day, or...

I booked a night away on Cockatoo Island for Valentine's Day as a surprise for my partner as we love camping and we'd never been glamping before. The ferry ride from Circular Quay is an added bonus of the trip, allowing time to feel as though you're travelling away for a night. I booked the Mini Glamping package. It was...

We stayed here recently for one night. It had been given to my husband as a gift for his birthday. I had decided before I event went that I probably wouldn't enjoy it but "could put up with it for one night"! We both loved it. The weather was perfect, which helped, but we had the best location on the...

Nothing disappointed. We walked climbed, explored and delighted in the whole island. From architectural gems to cool tunnels, historical docks to great views, from sunrise over the city to busy waterway traffic even crisp white sheets and hot showers - it is all there. Bought tasty hamburgers and topped up an Opal card. Midweek experience for us and we'll be...

It's a great place for an overnight mid week trip. It's quick and easy to get to by ferry, especially if you drive to Woolwich. The showers and barbeque areas are modern, and a level above what you'd normally expect in a campsite. There are picturesque views (Sydney Harbour, Harbour Bridge, and city skyline) and interesting things to see on...

This was the first time I have taken my children to see the NYE fireworks as the idea of Sydney crowds and transport hell is offputting. $600 for 2 nights byo tent is a little exxy but there is fun family activities & plenty of places charge the same without the ability to sleep after the fireworks. The tennis court...

How else can you get budget accomodation for uninterrupted views of Sydney harbour? Waterfront accomodation. Easy ferry ride from darling harbour or circular quay. Cafe is only open from 9-5. Options are limited and they run out of things. Best to prepare and bring your own. Although it is only s short ferry ride back if you need something. Beds...

I stayed with my two teenage boys for 11 nights, bringing our own camping gear. Fantastic experience. It was easy to get the gear over to the island on the ferry from Woolwich. The location was excellent and we loved attending events for the Sydney Festival then having the convenience of jumping on a ferry home. The island is really...

A last minute decision to "glamp" with my 7 yo. It was wonderful and we wished we had booked for at least another night. Clean and very user friendly. Plenty to do during the day and there were movies for kids at night, with a later one for the adults. May bring ear plugs next time for the very noisy...
