My husband and I had a very good stay at Sonesta by the airport. The first night there was a problem with the door but Desiree was wonderful and helped us resolve that problem. She told management about the problem and they actually did not charge us for the first day I thought that was pretty good customer service. The suite was roomy , bed was comfortable. Friendly staff there. I actually made use of the laundry service and will not need to do laundry when I get back.
What a fantastic stay! We drove our daughter up to join her husband who is now in the Navy, and she reserved two (2) rooms for us here. We cannot say enough things about this hotel. From the check in to the location to the room, it is all extremely well done! The staff behind the counter were nothing short of helpful and courteous. The room was comfortable, efficient and roomy all at the same time. We did arrive a day early and were not able to get into the hotel for an additional night and had to stay elsewhere but it is easy to see why. This hotel is beyond lovely. They have grills off to one side so that you can have an outdoor gathering. And with the Navy training base being so close we are sure that there are plenty of families staying here. And the hotel is pet friendly! Our daughter brought her dog up to Illinois and the hotel accommodates. I am not a pet person, but I did not feel uncomfortable in our room whatsoever. I think that they do a really great job of assigning rooms to those with pets and ensuring that those not traveling with pets are not too close to those that have pets. They even provide a magnet that you put on the doorframe of your door so that others are aware that you have a pet in our room. I think this will go a long way for individuals who perhaps have allergies to pets, or are unable to be near animals. The rooms have ample space. There was a bed, with a built in desk and a chair to do work, if needed. The fridge was practically the normal size you would see in a house. The bathroom was perfectly sized, in my opinion. Plenty of room to open the door, not too close to the toilet or the shower, etc. Very spacious overall in the room. I have been on cruise ships that have smaller rooms and bathrooms. They were doing so much to ensure that everyone is safe and are definitely doing their part to not spread COVID. Everything seemed sufficiently clean and ready for anyone. I truly cannot say enough great things about this hotel. We will be back, that is for sure. And I will definitely be looking at any other Sonesta Suites that may be nearby when I am traveling.…
Parked in the exact front of the hotel, directly in front of lobby door. Between 6 PM and 5 AM my catalytic converter was cut out. Parking lot has no security cameras, the police told me. Sonesta told me a manger would call, they never did. $2000 repair! Parking lot worker next door told me his car was hit there too earlier this summer. I won’t risk this place again, not worth it.
Pros: - Nice front desk staff - Easy check in Cons: - Elevator smelled DISGUSTING - Room was damp - Dishes were dusty & dirty - Floor was sticky & dirty - Desk chairs falling apart - Room is old and worn down We arrived around 1 pm, dropped out bags off and explored the area. We got back around 4 pm and decided to check out around 5:45 pm because the room made us both start itching. Not sure if it was the air quality or general dirtiness of the room, but we decided to check out after only staying in the room for less than 2 hours. No refund was offered, but we are expecting a call from a manager on Monday. I will be reporting this to corporate due to the room conditions.
This is a red roof inn rebranded. Atleast the quality of rooms. Run down rooms , no ice makers and the ice maker in the fridge does not work. Pls check the coffee machines. They were filthy and had not been cleaned for months. Sureshot way to fall ill
My young child and I arrived at the hotel after driving for a few hours. We waited in line for the staff person to help a family ahead of us. My child needed to use the restroom so we looked for one and only found a locked mens and women's restroom. I asked the front desk person for a key and she told me they didn’t have a public restroom. So we were not yet checked in and there was no access to a restroom. Unfortunately, the only option was for my child to soil their pants or to urinate outside (which is what they were forced to do). This instantly made me regret my decision to stay here. Our room was fairly clean with the exception of the [pubic?] hair by the bathroom sink. The shower pressure was so hard that it hurt and there was no way to adjust it. I will not return due to the lack of assistance when my young child needed to use the restroom while we waited to check in.…
I wasn't sure what to expect but to stay next to O'Hare and 25 minutes from the Loop for less than $100 seemed like a good deal. All in all, I liked the inn and would stay here again: room was well designed, kitchenette was fully functional (not just a pretend one), shower was great, clean all around. I especially liked the countertop space in the room--plentiful and unobtrusive. Front desk was just fine, parking was great even with the snow, and interior was good. This reminded me of a motel at Sydney Airport--very functional, not fancy, just what I needed. Also, easy on and off from the TriState.
The previous positive reviews are spot on. Really friendly and efficient welcome, 24 hr shuttle that actually is 24 hrs, minimart with key essentials like toothpaste, large suite and comfortable bed, very quiet. Everything you need to ease transit to/from airport.
Meh. Room was not very clean and smelled very stale. Asked for more towels and was told we had to bring our dirty towels to the front desk to get new ones. Not a great area of town. Do not recommend that you stay here - you can do much better in nearby Rosemont.
Stayed one night and liked my suite and especially the relaxing shower. Had fascinating views of O'Hare from the 7th floor suite. The location is convenient, though pretty much surrounded by park & fly places or warehouses. The suite was quiet had nice features.
