This hotel sticks to the rules of no refunds. I tried to change hotels so I could get one with a roll away since I have teen kids that really don't share a bed. Check in was good and the breakfast was very pleasant.

Dirty place. Staff is horrible. The rooms have piles of built of dirt and dust on the floors. Bathrooms aren’t cleaned. Food was in the AC/heat unit. We had dirty towels. Banging on walls from staff after 5pm

Management was the worst part of my stay. I was told to wait for my room for check in at 3 which was fine. The upsetting part was an angry little guy came in there demanding he get a room right away was serviced immediately. He booked same day for one night. For anyone staying there if you want an early check in just say you would like to speak to the manager and they will accommodate you immediately. The manager then apologized and told the guy he just opened up TEN rooms and put him in one immediately. Another 2 families came in and were given rooms right away ( the two black familes waited). This is usually my go to hotel when I'm visiting family but I refuse to waste another dollar there. They were given cookies and a warm welcome and I was given a "thank you for your patience".

Hilton as a chain has not been able to recover the level of service that made them a travelers choice since the pandemic, even though their occupancy has recovered. This property is just another example of this.

Where can I start. Water damage on the bathroom roof(all over) not just on top of the shower. Cracked bathroom door with paint chipping cabinets. The toilet water ran all night. When mentioned to the guy at the front desk, he asked me how many nights I’m here for, was told no maintenance guy on duty at this time and to open the toilet tank and fix it. Not even a superficial offer to change rooms. Never in my life have I gone to a hotel, have to open the toilet tank and look or attempt to diagnose, and to fix the toilet water stopper. I was able to reduce the water pressure noise in the toilet bowl(it originally sounded like a broken water pipe), but not fix the toilet water from non-stop running. Minor rust in shower. What was good were the cookies (jeez thanks) pool, and the size of the room). I had better rooms at Days inn and motel 6. This entire strip is full of hotels, do yourself a favor. I have attached some pictures. Perfect for a plumber. Me and my wife slept 4 hours tossing and turning.

Check in by Tashia was friendly and cheerful. I had pre-selected my room on the 5th Level. The room appeared quite clean,  and spacious enough, for our two night stay. Our first minor complaint was the frequently minutes wait for the elevator. Only one elevator was in use, and it was slow between floors, as the hotel had quite a few guest. I have stayed at lots of Hilton chain hotels being a Lifetime Diamond Member, and also stayed in quite a few Doubletree- in this one five years ago and just in May'23, the Doubletrees in Naperville & Mt Vernon. This Doubletree felt like a two or at best three star hotel, not the suggested 4 Star and certainly not this weekend. - as with some other Hilton chain hotels, housekeeping service every four days, it just didn't feel right for a good hotel. - most staff appeared in need of hospitality experience, we had to ask the staff for most items. - restaurant food quality and choices low to average, there were rotting oranges in the fresh food bowl. The cut fruits were marginal, no freshly cook breakfast on weekends. - the plaster repair on the ceiling of the restaurant looked poorly done. The weekend rate was relatively low, but not a good reason for lowering standards. However, the warm choc chip cookies were still very good. The baggage trolleys (when found) had the biggest casters and easy to roll on carpet.

2 star hotel at best. A/C is a wall unit that is very loud, rooms are old and dirty. Only 1 elevator worked, so plan on a 10 minute wait to get to the room. They didn’t have the doubletree cookies during a 3 day stay. Not sure how Doubletree lets this hotel operate under their brand

Good value. Convenient location. Property needs a remodel. It’s clean and does the job. The property is clean as are the rooms. The property and rooms are starting to look worn. Also not a fan of Hiltons cleaning policy that rooms are only cleaned upon request or on the fourth day of the stay

I wanted to not believe the bad reviews of this property, but have to give credence to some of their points. I am approaching this review from a good, bad, and meh perspective as follows. THE GOOD * Front desk staff were vey nice and helpful * Hot water was quickly available and plentiful * Shower water pressure was amongst the best I’ve ever encountered * Wifi was, for the most part, fast and stable (see cons below as well), and I didn't have to renew the connection each day. * Coffee was always available in the lobby * Good desk chair (I was working from my room for two days and have a bad back - the chair was quite comfortable and adjustable) * Wall-to-wall windows provide a lot of light during the day * As a Diamond member, I get a food & bev credit every day at certain properties. Ever since they instituted this, I have - without fail - had to have the bill corrected at check out because they didn’t handle it correctly. This was the first time that it was done correctly from the start! THE BAD * TV was wonky and this is apparently a known problem. After powering on, it powered down almost immediately. Front desk clerk instructed me to hit the “Channel Up” button on the remote as soon as the Samsung logo disappeared. That worked, but was a pain. And there is no channel or program guide - on the TV or printed in the room. * Room was short on soap and towels when I arrived - had to obtain from the front desk after checking in late at night. * Could not connect a second device to the WiFi. Luckily, I got very strong 5G signal (Verizon) * My standard king room was quite small (though the bathroom was big) * While the A/C unit kept the room nice and comfortable, the decibel level was slightly less than that of a jet engine and contributed to a less than optimal night’s sleep. I had to constantly adjust the volume on the TV (louder when unit switched on, lower when it went off). * The in-room coffee machine cannot be operated where it’s located in the drawer/refrigerator console. You have to perch it a bit precariously on the top of the unit while using it (the cord is not long enough except to have it sit on the edge of the unit), and then put it back when you’re finished because it blocks the TV THE MEH * Property is somewhat dated and can use a refresh * Fitness center is fairly well equipped but the equipment shows its age. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked nice and was bigger than most I would expect of a property of this nature. * Breakfast area is very nice and the staff was good. But the spread and quality were what I would expect for free from a lower-priced property like a Hampton Inn. On the plus side, the oatmeal was steel-cut and they had a good selection of fixings for it. In short, for what I paid I would consider another property the next time I’m in the area.
