Fantastic day spent learning how to bake bread. There were six of us on the course and Les was our instructor. We cooked Focaccia, Baguette and Artisan loaves. We had coffee and cakes and a superb lunch all home made.

Had wanted to go one of these courses for a while but they seem to get booked up very quickly. Now I know why the day was 1st class and Les was an excellent teacher. I was delighted with the end results - my wife thought I had bought them!!! Thoroughly recommend this day to anyone interesting in making high...

Beautiful surroundings, small class of six, easy going introduction to baking bread and a great teacher in Les. We made an Artisan seeded loaf, baguette and focaccia. Les simplified everything and...

A great location in the Sussex Countryside to do an Artisan Baking Course. A cosy room, warmed by the wood burning oven, with ample space for the six participants to mix, kneed, slap and form the dough that miraculously became three Delicious loaves ! Home made biscuits and great lunch provided. Good value, fun and new skill learnt.

I went to the Artisan Bakehouse to learn how to make bread. I am a keen cook but bread baffled me. Les took us through the whole process of bread making in great detail. We made focaccia, baguette and a white loaf. Each bread was different so I learned 3 methods. The end results were amazing. There I was with...

Attended the lovely cooking demonstration of Moroccan food by David and Kieran (Four Gables Food Academy) and then were able to eat it along with Les' home made pitta breads. The Artisan Bakehouse is in a beautiful setting, and was a cosy set up for the demo - very friendly and straightforward- no question too simple or silly! Les and...

Limited opening makes the bakehouse very popular and so booking is essential. The menu is quite limited but all homemade and really tasty with local ingredients being used throughout. We both chose the ham, leek and cheddar tart served with salad followed by Pecan Pie with salted caramel ice cream. Delicious! We'll be back!
