Extremely good and remote location away from the hustle and bustle of Chicago City.....An apt place to conduct business conferences, meets, trainings etc. The rooms in which we were staying is the one of the smallest rooms i have ever stayed in...But i suppose, its meant for that only......Extremely Lean...no extra space....It just basically accommodates 1 individual...but overall i never faced any issue with respect to clean sheets, Washroom utilities etc....Food was also fine....Good 1-2 coffee type of shops incase you want to chat around with office colleagues........... A very good experience overall.....

This place has been in my hometown for nearly 40 years already and until my company had us attend a conference I hadn't the pleasure of knowing it ever existed due to its hidden location off the main road. Long story short the staff, food, amenities and grounds made it so pleasant that I didn't mind being around my useless supervisors or fellow glue sniffing coworkers and that's really saying a bunch because each and every day of my now 15 years of employment I have to really focus on not opening my garage door in the

During the last evening of my exhausting conference held at the Q center I was dining and noticed that certain people had to-go boxed. It had been a long weekend and I did not desire to sit downstairs in the dining hall. While walking around I asked one of the food servers if I could have a box. She directed me to whom she referred to as the manager because he had them. Well the “manager” said that he did not have to-go boxes and to just take a plate. As I’m walking away a Caucasian female asks THE EXACT SAME QUESTION and he proceeds to pull out a stack of to-boxes and gives her one no questions asked. Please keep in mind that I am one of the few African American individuals here so I was immediately offended. I will never stay here again I promise you.

This is a great place for conference. The rooms are extremely small with a twin size bed and pricey. There are larger rooms, however quite expensive. I've stayed there twice for school conference, however I would not recommend it for leisure stay. The staff are great and the facility is very clean.

Loved attending for a work conference as it’s perfectly designed for it and the grounds are just amazing. A bit of a drive from Chicago and it really is in the middle of nowhere but the local outlets Malls are fab. Inside the centre the corridors are long, the rooms are tiny with single beds dorm Uni style but everything you need is in the room. Great lined and oh my the food - buffet every meal and heaps of options, varying every day. They do know how to cater for food drinks and large crowds so to be commended for that. The gym also is massive - no waiting time for equipment. Wanted to borrow bikes for a cycle but they wouldn’t loan us due to the slight rain. Walked and ran the grounds instead. Next time if the weather is better, Volleyball and tennis will be done. All n all a slick operation just with unusual rooms.

I was here for 2 days training. The place is greatly situated on the right location away from city. Nice riverwalk and great ambience is just right for learning. However, The rooms are like dorm. I believe to accommodate such a huge crowd that is the only option. But personally I did not like it because the bed is tiny and sleep is necessary for which which a good bed is a must. Hence 3 stars only for the bed.

I did not know what to expect from a 1000 room conference centre sponsoring a 3 day 2 night silence and solitude retreat. However, My husband and I were amazed at its beauty. The landscape was beautiful! The waterfalls and various layers of plants made our silence and solitude retreat worth all of the walks and views from our windows. The food was awesome! I felt like I was on a cruise with the different eating experiences available. The rooms were very plush and up to date. The staff were very helpful because it was so easy to get lost on such a huge property. They look for people who look like they are lost so they can help them. Checking in and out was seamless and there was never a big line up of people waiting to be checked in. You can tell they are used to hosting many different conferences at once. Very organized.

We've been in this plays for 4-days conference in 2012 so had a chance to stay for 5 nights on to feel the conference and hotel facilities in full. So on general no negative feedback. Conference facilities are good, meals are good, rooms are good. The territory is huge and when I was once going to the parking at night I found myself that somebody was staring on me. It was a deer and he was in 3 meters from me! It was very nice! The center is located in small very nice town in 50 km from Chicago.

This is not what I expected when I was told I would be headed to a professional training. The executive sedan service ('A-1' I believe is the name) aligned with the Q-Center is an excellent transportation alternative to ride-sharing or renting a car. I received a phone call not long after my plane touched down, informing me where to meet my driver. My driver was professional, the car was clean and spacious, and it was an overall pleasant ride. The compound is intimidatingly large, but after a day or so it becomes relatively manageable. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included, abd there is a bistro which offers additional dining options for a fee. The food is cafeteria-style, and it's fantastic. The tender succulent smoked brisket was my favorite. There was also sushi, pizza, bbq chicken wings, mac and cheese, egg salad, Indian curry vegetables, Asian-style shrimp and noodles. So many delicious options to choose from and the meal options changed not only daily, but per meal. I really appreciated the imaginative breakfast options. More than just bacon and eggs and bagels and fruit. They offered things like chorizo hash, and chilaquiles, which was something like a breakfast nacho casserole. An interesting but delicious take on breakfast. I would be remiss not to mention the desserts. The dessert offerings changed by day and by meal, as well. The Frosted Apple Bars were my favorite. I'm so sad that they only offered them one time while I was there. They also offer gluten-free options, and many of the food items are marked clearly to indicate if they are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc. There is ice cream machine on site, as well as refrigerated cases with pre-packaged fruit to take with you. Snacks are also provided during the day in common areas near the training rooms. Things like boiled eggs, fruit, cookies, chips and salsa, donut bites, fruit infused water and other soft drinks are also provided to help keep attendees refreshed. The grounds were beautiful. This place used to be a Catholic college, but I'm wondering if it was also a country club at one time. Rooms are brilliantly and strategically small, about half the size of a hotel room. There's literally just enough space for you to shower and change. I strongly believe that this is by design, so that attendees will get out and mingle/network as opposed to giving in to the temptation of staying in the room.

Stayed here virtually the entire month of September as my firm hosted training. Can't say enough good things about place. While a majority of the rooms are definitely small they are modern, clean, and get a full compliment of TV channels. Food is great too, with different themes/variety each night. For those that aren't tied up with conference activities there in off compound shuttle to restaurants and the mall What makes the Q Center the best though is its people. I want to specifically mention Olga (house keeping), Pam (dining services) and Frank (gift shop).
