We were waiting for our shuttle at the airport. They were supposed to come at 9pm and they came 10:30 pm. We were waiting for an 1 hr 30 mins. Every time I call they say on their way or traffic or I am standing at the wrong spot. There was no traffic at that late. Literally road was empty. It was not just my family. There was another couple who was waiting with us. Same stupid excuses. All the other hotel shuttles came multiple times when we were standing there. Worst place to book your hotel. What if you have a elderly parent with you or a small baby. Worst nightmare ever.
I stayed 3 months here on business, a great hotel with great staff , great restaurant next door a good gym and lots of parking , a supermarket nearby and a great shuttle service to ORD airport. Beast to be Ona. High room facing away from freeway, as it can be noisy . A great value hotel though excellent corner suite
I booked the hotel and paid ahead of time. Unfortunately I can not review the hotel since their computers were down.I waited over an hour for them to fix this. I was told I would get reimbursed and sent a confirmation of the cancellation (allowed since I could not register or get a room). I have not received a confirmation and the hotel did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help me with another room (they have other Marriott locations). I am usually treated very well by Marriott, but this time, the customer service was horrible. All I heard was "there is nothing we can do". I had to get another hotel on my own, that was further away from my meetings on the next day and spend more money on that room. This is by far the worst service I have ever received from a Marriott Property...EVER!! I will also be lodging a complaint with Marriott Corp!…
An okay hotel with an okay price considering this is an expensive city. Room looks and feel pretty old but bearable. Amenities-wise, they have a small microwave but no existence of any kind of plate in the room OR in the HOTEL. (Yes I called and they said they only have foam plates in the entire hotel). Luckily the Outback restaurant below was kind enough to lend us good actual plates that would not melt in the microwave. Parking fee is charged. Breakfast is what you would expect (eggs, bread, and frozen salty beef patty) Location: Traffic to city is terrible. Only book this hotel is you don’t plan to go into the city.
We attended the Chicago International Miniature show at the nearby Marriott O'Hare. Because that hotel was full, we booked the Springhill Suites. They ran a shuttle to the other hotel with a super nice front desk staffer driving. The hotel itself was fine and the free breakfast was above average. Parking was on long surface lots on both ends of the hotel, but there is also an underground garage. The onsite Outback steakhouse was a plus. Rooms were good, nice and quiet despite being near airport and freeway with a microwave and small fridge
This hotel is great!! It has very nice and clean rooms, a great breakfast and very friendly, professional staff!! Nancy and Samantha are 2 of the nicest and most accommodating people at the front desk I’ve had in any of the hundreds of properties I’ve ever been to!! Thank you ladies!!
Upon arrival, the front desk attendants were super helpful about parking, the facility, breakfast, and even helped up to not leave one of our bags while unloading. Both of our suites were super clean and comfy, with room to prepare snacks, a small cupboard, wet bar, study table, couch with a chaise, multi-task coffee table, TV on the medium-size dresser, dividing wall, comfortable king-size bed. Breakfast was hot--scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal with toppings, big fresh English muffins, bagels, cereal, etc. With covid protocol, we took it up to our room to eat. Also because of covid, the fitness center and pool were closed. You could hear the planes overhead from O'Hare (muffled) and the south side of the property overlooks the expressway. Not deal-breakers for us.
Honestly I’ve never been treated so badly anywhere I’ve stayed. When I checked in their were multiple people in the lobby angry because the door locks weren’t working. It took over an hour to check in and once we were checked in our door wouldn’t open, which we waited an additional hour to get fixed.. it was New Year’s Eve and we had things to get ready for. My family & I were the only ones who didn’t make a big deal out of it but were still treated very badly. The way the employees talk to you at the front desk on top of the stuff we experienced is horrible. Customer service training is needed, I would never stay here again. The woman at the front desk that checked in said she was the front office manager and she was the rudest one. There was a man working the desk that night who would speak to everyone as if they were lacking comprehension skills…
We had a great 2 night stay at this Mariott property. They do had an airport shuttle, BUT YOU MUST CALL FOR PICK-UP AT AIRPORT. Rooms are quite comfortable- LOVED the soft bed. I also really liked having a bathtub. Rooms have a microwave amd refrigerator. Breakfast is pretty good. Cereals, bagels, oatmeal, sausage, scrambled eggs and assorted beverages. The best feature for me was an adjoining Outback restaurant! The hotel looked and smelled clean. Even though the freeway is adjacent to the hotel, it was very quiet. This is a nice choice for an affordable hotel near Chicago Ohare Airport.
The hotel is typical in style of a Springhill Suites. The airport shuttle does the job. The breakfast buffet was pretty expansive, and there was plenty of seating and dining space. It's not the most walkable area. There is not sidewalk by the hotel, but there is a nice neighborhood around the corner if you want to take a walk or run around.
