We just finished up a family trip and we definitely enjoyed our at this property. The area itself is very visitor friendly with both shopping and dining in walking distance but I must say the service provided was really the difference maker. We checked in with Raymond who went above and beyond to assist us throughout our stay. As many hotels as I’ve stayed at it is rare when you come across someone that is genuine in helping others but Raymond did just that and it was really refreshing. This was our first time visiting but it won’t be our last, this will be our go to hotel whenever we are visiting Chicago.
Good Day, Please allow me to share my feedback from a recent stay at Aloft Chicago O'Hare, 9700 Balmoral Avenue, Rosemont, Illinois, USA, 60018 With the shift in the world for the past 2 years, a great nice clean hotel with friendly team is such a crucial part of our life. And from the moment when I made the reservation, to arrival and check-in, my experience has been nothing but absolutely amazing. The Aloft O’Hare is at a great location with complimentary airport shuttle. I was here for a convention, and it was so easy to walk to the convention building, close by restaurants and outlet malls! Catching the Airport shuttle was super easy and that is where I met ISMAEL. He truly set the tone perfectly. He was so polite and professional, assisted with my one piece of luggage and wished me a great stay. When I entered the lobby to check in, I met the DUO team of VALERIE and JAMINE. They were absolutely superb. It was late in the night when I arrived, like 9:45PM or so. And they both gave me a warm welcome and made sure I had a good room. I have been places where sometime with long shift, your energy bar around 10 PM is almost out. But VALERIE and JAMINE looked like they love their job and were happy to be here. Like I said, with the way the world has job openings at every corner but not enough talent or body for the position, it is great to see such hard working team on Marriott Aloft side. And lastly, I have not met the lovely DAISY but just spoke to her over the phone few mins ago and she was so professional and patient. Of course when I called the hotel, it would be nice of me if I had my confirmation number or last digits of my CC in my hand. But of course rookie mistake on my part. I made poor DAISY jump through hoops to look for my reservation. I can only imagine how busy she may have been. But she as politely and professionally as ever, took time and found my reservation and was able to answer all my questions. I do know that I had seen her name mention on few other reviews. So, I am not surprised of her professional conduct over the phone. On the morning of my check out, I was leaving at 5 am (Yawn!) so I was able to grab few items from the breakfast bar. They were so handy and decent selections. Thank you, management, for having the breakfast corner. In the end, a great location to come back, clean rooms, hot water in the shower and I am so happy that the small bottles of toiletries are being replaced with large wall-mounted dispensers. The soap was absolutely amazing in the bathroom. I had a great amazing stay and will definitely return. Thank you to the entire team!…
This is maybe my 5th time staying in this hotel and experiences were always good. Until now. Never in my life I faced a more unfriendly, arrogant and bullish person at the reception. The person was confused and confusing. Terrible experience.
This hotel was average as far the room but it wasn't super expensive. The bed was comfortable but the shower took FOREVER to heat up. But the staff is what makes it. From the driver who picked us up to the bartender. Our driver explained that there was not food at the hotel but told us many were in walking distance. Marisol was so welcoming and had empathy for my situation. She made my check in so easy, gave me a drink coupon and sent me over to the bar to George. George was very friendly and made a great margarita. We had such a bad day at the airport with AA and these people made me happy. THANK YOU!
Friendly staff, walking distance to nice bars and restaurants. Super close to the airport but I had driven so didn’t need a shuttle which I had read in some of the negative reviews. Nice decor, hotel was quiet and clean. Easy, problem free stay.
No hot water in shower or sink. Loud neighbors and thin walls at 130am was not good to get any sleep either. No breakfast available in morning. The staff offered some additional points or a soda to go but at what I needed was a shower and good night’s sleep.
The airport shuttle runs regularly after 6:30am. Before that you need to request one on the half hour. We requested ours at 6am, we came down at 6:02am and the shuttle we requested left 5 minutes beforehand. The receptions the night before did not tell us to head down early. Super frustrating. Hotel is clean and close to the airport. Not close to the CTA, had to Uber from the rosemont stop to the hotel (about $10-2022).
I reserved a room at the Chicago O-Hare ALOFT for my daughter, who was returning from a long trip. She called the hotel from O’Hare and was told the shuttle would be there in 15 or 20 minutes. She called 25 minutes later and was told it would be there in 10 or 15 minutes. After another 25 minutes they said it was at the airport 5 minutes ago so she missed it, which was not true. She had been waiting for an hours, so she just took an Uber. The Aloft employee did not even apologize. Very disappointing.
We usually stay here before flying out of O'Hare and love the hotel. The little bar in the lobby is great and the outside area is perfect for an early evening before a long day of travel. Everyone at the front desk is always so pleasant and helpful and the beds are comfortable. The pool is small but my children love it; it is a tad too cold for me. We unfortunately had to cancel our stay (the day we were going to check in) and staff was very helpful and accommodating. We wont stay anywhere else in the Rosemont area.
This is a hotel that has a great rep and we’ve stayed in others (Boston). If you are staying here as part of travel through O’Hare, DON’T!! Literally FAILED with shuttle service. Whatever they say on their website is FALSE. The shuttles don’t run every half hour, not even close. The shuttles fit like 8-10 maximum. We watched an entire flight crew “wait for over an hour” just to be told to take a cab and the hotel would “reimburse them.” Shuttles are “first come, first serve” but they don’t let you put your name in until you call from the airport. Absolute s**tshow. We had to be at O’hare by 6 am and we were forced to Uber to the tune of $70 (5 people) because the 5:30 and 6 am shuttles were “full” at 11 pm the night before. The room itself was pretty beat-up. The pillows SUCKED. The bed was comfortable. Would rather sleep on the floor at the airport than stay here again.…
