I always have a good time when I stay at Hyatt…. Bartender is number 1 and Asia is awesome as always…. I love how everyone e remembers my name and is always accommodating to my needs…. I only stay at one place when I’m in Chicagoland
The hotel is convienently located to ORD. The transportation shuttle arrive on time heading to the airport and returning. Hotel room was clean and quiet. Bed slept well. Breakfast was fresh and had good variety. Staff was helpful and pleasant.
Was extremely disappointed to find out the pool was closed after me my family change and are some suits. We had 0 heads up on the On the pool being closed for maintenance. Which is extremely disappointing because that was the only reason. We booked the hotel room if not we would to drove home seeing how we're only an hour away. The bathroom had hair on the shower walls from the previous occupants. Needless to say I was the only one that showered after we found here in the shower.
I used WAY to book parking here and also used a points night to stay before flying out for the weekend. Overall it was a good experience. The only frightening thing is the building attached to the Hyatt. It looks like something out of a zombie apocalypse movie. The long term parking is along the side of this building and the lot has now been paved which is a big improvement over the last time I parked there. You still have to walk quite a ways and go past the zombie building to get to the parking and there is no easy way to get into or out of the hotel from there. I took the shuttle to the airport but I took a cab for $15 to get back to the hotel because I didn’t want to go all the way to the transportation center and wait for an hour to catch it. The breakfast was limited but good. The room was quiet and clean and updated and didn’t smell bad at all. People seem to be complaining about that, but I didn’t experience it. Check in was slow due to some people in front of me who had zero clue… zero… and only one reception person at the desk. Make sure to reserve your shuttle on check in if you need it… and be aware that the shuttle also services the La Quinta next door and so you might need to figure in more time. They also now charge $5 per big bag for the shuttle which is a complete farce and people were very ticked off about that let me say… that needs to STOP. Completely ridiculous. The driver made sure to point it out to people about three times. Saying it was “management “ that made this policy and he, poor man, just had to obey them. I call foul on that. Luckily I only had a backpack but there is no way I would have paid… I didn’t even tip and normally I do. Just because of that nonsense. If you are going to charge for a shuttle, charge for the shuttle… don’t charge per bag… some people like me paid nothing and other people paid $10 each just to have the shuttle guy lift the bag up and down three feet. Not fair at all. …
it is ok to spend a night between flights but I would not recommend this hotel for anything above that. We came from luxurious hotel in Belgrade and ths Hyatt was difficult to compare. It was just an acomodation, nothing more than that.
Hotel needs a major renovation. It is so old and dingy. Front desk was nice and kind. poor Shuttle service. Hallway to the room smells of someone smoking weed. I expected more from Hyatt brand. Breakfast was not god at all. I don't recommend staying here at all.
Hotel seems to be run on a shoe string budget, with less than minimum service. Breakfast buffet was missing variety and only disposable plastic plates cups and utensils available. Our room was not cleaned during our entire 9 day stay. We had to fetch toilet paper, towels tissues from the reception desk. We will not be staying here again.
Great property; however, shuttle service was terrible and eventually after 1 hour and 15 minute wait took a taxi back to the hotel. No one answer the telephone at the hotel during this period of time.
We last minute booked a one night stay as we flew into ohare late during the winter storm and sub-zero temperatures. The gentleman working was kind and extremely helpful with anything we needed. A clean hotel, and no complaints at all about the experience!
Location is perfect if you are attending an event at the Allstate Arena. Hotel was very clean and staff helpful. My only 2 issues were an odd smell when I walked into the room and the breakfast could have been better.
