Was a bit hesitant about booking this hotel after reading some bad reviews in Trip Advisor. It is a tribute to Trip Advisor and hotel management that the comments have been taken into account and rectified speedily. From the time we arrived we were treated so well that we have already made up our minds to go back there. Some...

Dear '857liamd', Thank you for taking the time to review Faithlegg and we're very glad you chose to stay here, regardless of your initial hesitance. Trip Advisor is a great forum for both travellers and hoteliers alike as it allows guests to share their experiences, and hoteliers to respond accordingly. If guest feedback indicates areas which could be improved upon,...

I'm sitting in the reading room reluctantly checking out shortly. Thoroughly enjoyed 2 night stay. We originally only intended staying one night. Very relaxing surroundings and genuine staff. They seemed to have undergone some refurbishments recently keeping the place fresh. Will definitely return and take a golf lesson next time! Check out the ultra friendly black cat in the grounds...

Thank goodness for GPS, but roads do change and you may go in circles before you find your way there. Very nice grounds and staff. Nothing else for miles so either eat before you arrive or plan to have dinner here.

Dear Becky, Many thanks for your review. We're delighted you managed to find us with a little help (or hindrance!) from GPS. We're pleased to hear you found both our grounds and staff to be very nice, and even though it feels as though we're miles away from anything, we're only a short 15 minute drive into Waterford itself, and...

My family and I did considerable traveling in Ireland over an extended period and one of the last [and best] places was this property. Just a little outside Waterford [itself a wonderful destination; don't miss the Crystal Factory Tour], it seems to be from another time and place. Service is top notch and the views are, too. Loved the room...

Dear 'nealc', We're over the moon to hear you found Faithlegg to be one of the best places after travelling extensively throughout Ireland, and no doubt staying in many hotels along the way. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed not only the local area and its amazing views, but also found Waterford City and all it has to offer to...

I stayed here for a wedding and it was a lovely occasion. The setting is lovely as is the Golf course. The rooms were very average considering the 'wedding rate' was €165 a night. They had no mini bar and no air con which is quiet an issue in the middle of July. Overall it is a nice hotel but...

Dear 'Damien0710', Thank you for reviewing Faithlegg after enjoying a lovely wedding celebration here. Our beautiful setting is perfect for such an occasion and we're very pleased to hear you enjoyed it. It's true to say our guest bedrooms have neither mini-bars or air conditioning, however fans and a very limited supply of mini-fridges are available upon request. We're glad...

Ate in the bar last night in the far room. The bar was lovely, the food was excellent and we all enjoyed our meal. The only negative was the service. Firstly we asked for 2 glasses of water which didn't arrive after 15 minutes so we went up and got them ourselves, secondly half our table was cleared after the...

Dear Jenny, Many thanks for your review. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed a lovely meal in the bar and found the food to be excellent. We're disappointed you felt let down by the service and are quite upset to hear you call the bar staff 'awful', which they most certainly aren't, however it does seem there was a lack...

A few people asked me ‘are you here to play golf’ - you don’t have to be a golfer to stay here! We had a two night break here last week and really loved the experience. Dear 'MyriamCork', Thank you for reviewing Faithlegg after enjoying a 2 night stay here. We're pleased to hear you loved the experience and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. This hotel was the last night of our 9day driving tour of Ireland before ending back in Dublin itself. What a high point to go out on.
