We're here on an extended stay and every single day this place does not let us down. Very neat and clean rooms. Very appealing and welcoming lobby. On site laundry room is always neat and clean. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. Very close to places to get food and clothing items. It's very quiet. We would definitely stay here again.
This was a nice place. Clean and close to highway. Some restaurants are within walking distance too. Room was comfortable and staff was polite . check in was quick and easy. Would stay their again if in that area.
I stayed at Candlewood as part of a relocation effort. All of the staff made my stay an easy one. From seeing packages got to me and even receiving my vehicle for me when I was out of state. This place is the real deal.
Close to highway and plenty of restaurants. No traffic noise in the room. I do not recommend room 117 if you are a light sleeper, any lobby noise is heard in this room. But if you want easy access for dog walking, this is the room for you. Step out of the room, 2 steps to the right and straight out the door. Front door is kind of difficult to navigate with quick turns and two doors close together, may be a challenge for someone in a wheel chair or someone who needs assistance. 5 or 6 handicap spots, just off to one side of the front door. Staff was friendly and helpful.
This was a fine place to stop for a night after a long drive. The hotel was plain with no frills, and simple, clean and easy to access. The kitchen worked well. One of my ongoing issues with Candlewood Suites continued here -- there are only enough dishes and silverware for two servings, so if you need to use bowls for salad for dinner you need to wash them to use for breakfast. Of course, that's easy enough to do, but this is the only suite hotel brand where we find that necessary. At others, there are at least four of each, so when we load the dishwasher in the morning before we check out, all the dishes can be washed at once. This hotel is fine for a quick stop with no frills.
The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. We only stayed one night due to an early baseball game so we didn't need much. No pool or free breakfast. Overall this hotel was nice, parking was easy, location was good.
I wasn't sure what to expect of this property, but I decided to try it for a 2-night stay based on location & its affiliation with IHG (Holiday Inns owners). My wife & I both were pleasantly surprised by the well-maintained guest room, which was simply furnished but offered a comfortable queen bed and three chairs and a well-stocked kitchenette and a small bathroom with shower/tub combo. Everything was in working order & kept clean. The front desk staff were friendly & accommodating, and the public areas were freshly kept. This Candlewood Suites is located in a small cluster of lodging properties on a cul-de-sac, which minimizes local traffic flow but allows easy in/out via a traffic light. There's plenty of surface parking on-site. Though very close to the interstate, our guest room on the opposite side of the hotel building was very well isolated from any traffic noise. There are several chain restaurant options nearby, and proximity to State Street offered a direct drive west into Downtown Rockford with its entertainment and local dining/drinking establishments. It's rare for us to stay at this sort of property during our personal travels, but we would recommend the Candlewood Suites Rockford as a good option for visitors to the area & we would stay here again.…
Very friendly staff and a welcoming environment. Nice little suites and everything you would need in a small apartment. Loved the "honour system" store and the laundry room. Very friendly and nice place. The hotel is fairly close to the highway and the bus station so it can get a bit loud but apart from that it is very good. Probably the rooms that are towards the front of the building are more quiet. Would stay here again!
This being our first visit to a Candlewood Suites we were unsure of what lies ahead. What a relief. Candlewood Suites in Rockford IL was a pleasant experience. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and exceptionally helpful. Our room was clean and fresh. All appliances worked. No back up in the shower drain. Very nice.
I stayed here for three nights and couldn't be happier with the experience. The staff was great and VERY friendly. There are a lot of restaurants close by, as well as any department store you can think of. I would stay here again.
