We stayed for one night. This hotel was comfortable. There was a good sized parking lot out front. The beds were nice, and the room was quiet. The breakfast was standard, with eggs and sausage, waffles and oatmeal. There was warm raspberry syrup for the waffles. They needed to have some sort of pastries.
I traveled with a group of HS lacrosse players this past weekend. The hotel was sold out both nights and filled with young athletes. The breakfast buffet was prepared and staffed by Mary. She was PHENOMENAL. She was so attentive and made sure there was lots of food hot and ready for all the players. The rooms were clean, The hotel is in a great location, but all things being equal, Mary made this a 5 STAR review.
We were on a 20-hour road trip to move our daughter. This Rockford location was our stopover. Room was great, clean & comfortable. Staff very friendly. Free breakfast was great for a quick eat & go to get back on the road. But what made us customers for life was the phone call we received after being back on the road several hours later. Being in a hurry, we failed to put our overnight bag back in the U-Haul & it was left sitting in the parking lot. We got the call before we ever realized it was missing. The lady we spoke to said they were happy to ship our bag to us. What a blessing. Thank you to whoever found the bag & turned it in. Good people still exist! Already a stressful trip, but this was a little hug! Thanks again
We stayed here on a stop over while road tripping. Very nice hotel, clean and very pleasant staff. Austin was super helpful at check in. The beds were very comfortable. The shower was refreshing great shower pressure don’t always fine that in a hotel. Breakfast was good several healthy choices. Would stay again if in the area.
The sunny personality staff at Check-in and at the breakfast buffet were refreshing. The room was immaculate and large! The bed was firm and comfortable. The water pressure was hearty and the exhaust fan worked great! Despite a ton of travel ball teens, the hotel was silent. We were able to park across from the entrance. I’d stay again if given the chance!
Admittedly I didn’t have high expectations for a hotel in Rockford. But we were pleasantly surprised with the updated decor, nice breakfast/lobby area for hanging out with friends, and the quality mattresses and bedding. The breakfast, in addition to the typical waffles and warm meat/egg items, included hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit, such as melon and pineapple. The location is close to plenty of shopping and restaurants. The fitness room had a recumbent bike, elliptical, a couple treadmills and plenty of dumbbells and kettle balls. We will stay here again!
Traveling East from Montana. Stayed overnight. Hotel was very clean and staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. The breakfast hostess, Mary, was exceptionally accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed.
When we arrived my first impression was great, very clean, neat and welcoming staff. I came down for breakfast the next morning and there she was this little ray of sunshine 🌞. Ms. Mary has welcomed me every morning and has brightened my mornings everyday day since we arrived. Her area has been spotless and full of fresh fruits and yummy breakfast foods! She goes above and beyond to make sure everyone’s mornings are bright. Bridgett at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful and made our booking experience seamless. When we stay in Rockford, it will be here at the Fairfield Inn and Suites.
For the most part, our stay was ok. Check-in was fine. Greeted immediately upon arrival and employee was very courteous, as were all employees during our 2 nite stay. Breakfast was very good on the first day, with many options available. There was not as much the 2nd morning, and that was a bit disappointing. The employee working in that area was very nice and on top of everything, even taking our plates when we were done. I think her name was Mary. The pool was very small - smaller than most hotel pools we have used. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not working. When I booked the hotel, I was told it wasn't working and they hoped to have it repaired by then. I realize this is probably due to all the "shortages" being experienced, so I know it's not their fault - we were just disappointed. There were not any clean towels available in the pool, so thankfully we brought our own. There were dirty towels, but no clean ones in the bins where they are typically available. I thought there would be a microwave in the room, as typically most rooms have them now, but there was not one in the room. No popcorn for us! ;-) When I was in the lobby one night, guests were in the breakfast area. One gentleman was up on the counter, on his phone, with no shoes/socks, and his feet were on the counter! This person could be seen from the front desk, and I don't know if they knew him or what, but I didn't see anyone say anything to him. The room was clean and I understand the reason why they don't clean daily, given the current covid conditions and employee shortages being experienced. We had no problem with this scenario. Checkout was simple, as we just left our key cards in the container provided. Receipts were emailed to us.…
Stayed here on our way back home from Wisconsin because of the great reviews and we were not disappointed. From the time we walked in the door, everything was wonderful. We were greeted with a smile and 'how are you?'; handed a bag of 'treats'; and checked in efficiently. The room was spacious and extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful with hot and cold items. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Will definitely stay her again when in the area.
