Sharon and Gideon provided us with superb service, accommodation and facilities. The beach was honestly 100m from our door which made the only morning traffic a beetle building his home. One of the best swimming beaches i have encountered with many restaurants available for lazy days relaxing and tanning. Neptunes, a beach bar was also amazing if you are looking...

I found out that the oven wasnt working after 6pm and there was no place I could go for assistance because the reception was closed. So if you going...

Dear Ana Patricia Thank you for posting a review and apology for the problem with the oven. The house to the right of our reception is where one of the owners of Bayview Lodge stay - permanently. We'll make a point of informing all guests in future that they're welcome to ask Sharon or Gideon for their assistance after hours....

We had cause to spend a few days in Inhambane in October 2014 after a glorious trip further north, and chose Bayview Lodge at Barra Beach to stay. Expecting it to be a let down after our stay at Pomene Lodge, it was a real highlight. The secret weapon was the absolutely fabulous restaurant there - called the Green Turtle...

What a wonderful find this lodge was! Our cottage was lovely, equipped with a mosquito net which was beautifully draped around the beds, and a fully set up kitchen (if you want to self-cater) and a comfortable lounge and a wooden deck from which to relax with a sundowner. All of the cottages are not even a minute's walk away...

The Bay View Lodge ist not one of those fancy, decoratively trimmed beach lodges but has a cosy and relaxed atmosphere and offers spacious, straight-forward accomodation at a fair price. Very friendly and supportive hosts, and on its grounds it has what must be one of the best sea-food restaurants along the coast (The Turtle). The beach is, of course,...

The cottages at Bay View Lodge are spacious, clean and air-conditioned, with comfortable beds and mosquitoe nets. Accessibility to the beach is excellent for families with all their beach paraphernalia and for fisherman who need to launch their boats. The family who run the lodge, especially John and Sharon are extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a stay!

We are a young couple that stayed at Bayview Lodge during the Dec 2013/Jan 2014 period. Accomodation although slighly outdated in styling, was spacious, comfortable and our home away from home for the week we spent in Moz. We especially appreciated our cleaning services who made sure our place was in top notch (no beach sand :) or dishes )...

A large group of us (adults and children) stayed at Bayview Lodge (in the 'Dive House') during December 2013/January 2014 and found the accommodation to be excellent! The house was exactly what we needed, especially with aircon, which you don't ordinarily find in Moz and very close to the beach where we could launch our boat and jetski. Management at...

Although we have been to Mozambique before, the accommodation at Bay View is a few notches up from our previous trips. Very comfortable (mozzie nets and aircon!), spacious living areas and right on the most fantastic beaches! The daily cleaning service afforded us more time to spend doing nothing. Chalets are well equipped to make self catering a pleasure. although...
