Stayed at Harolds House for one night on a trip with a the family and friends at the end of June. This was our first visit to the Cheddar Gorge area and I must say that we were over-whelmed with the warm welcome we received from Patty and her (old and charming) dog Harold. We had booked 3 rooms (out... More

Patti, the owner, is the perfect host and Harold, the most devine loveable labrador dog is, well put it like this, if we could have dognapped him, he would have new owners by now!!! The rooms are first rate, especially the suite, the owner is first rate and the food is first rate.... More

It's often difficult to know what you get what you book accommodation online but this B&B was a very nice surprise. Not only amazingly clean, nice and friendly but Patti - the owner- also made me feel like I was part of the family. Love the place and if the this area again I will certainly stay here again.

We arrived on a wet miserable ,misty day but the cheery greeting from Patty and her handsome dog, Harold , soon made up for the weather. Stayed only the one night in the suite but felt really comfortable and relaxed in there. All the furnishings and bedding are excellent, top quality and the facilities are spotless. There is no noise... More

What a wonderful place! We only stayed there for one night but Patti is amazingly friendly and lovely and made us feel like we were home. The room was perfectly clean and luxuriously stylish (we stayed in the king suite with en suite bathroom). Also being pet-lovers we absolutely loved having Harold around (the labrador) who was very friendly and... More

This is the best B&B we have ever stayed in. From the welcome on arrival to the immaculate and tastefully decorated ensuite bedroom and the exceptional breakfasts our weekend break was first class. We cannot recommend Harold's House highly enough and will definitely stay there again next time we are in Somerset.

Such a beautiful house! And Patty is a lovely host! We felt very at home here last weekend. Very spacious sitting room, kitchen and stunning garden! Amazing breakfast! Very comfy bed, and powerful shower. Would definitely recommend, especially is you like dogs, the house is named after Harold, Patty's labrador.

What a great start to a night stop after 60 miles of cycling on a hot summmer's day: tea and cake - brilliant! Lovely friendly welcome, nice room, wonderful refreshing shower in spotless bathroom, super comfy bed and the following morning a fabulous breakfast to power us up the gorge to the Mendip summit.
