I stayed at Laigh Tarbeg Farm whilst visiting the Ladies' Open at Turnberry, thirty five minutes away. I was welcomed by the ever energetic hostess Moira Watson with a cup of tea and home made cake and shortbread and given the daily task of choosing my breakfast for the following morning; well, porridge and full Scottish should keep me going...

This is a quiet working dairy farm, set a few miles outside of Ayr, we were only booked in for the one night but wished we could of stayed longer. We were early on arrival, as trip advisor stated check in was 2pm it was actually 4pm but this wasn't a problem, Moira said she would finish cleaning the room,...

Stayed 4 nights at this charming B&B. Received a warm welcome with tea and cake. We had an immaculate room with lovely ensuite. The breakfast was superb, very filling and tasty. We were also amazed at the robots used for the milking process which also reminded you that this is a working farm. The B&B is conveniently located on the...

Our first greeting at Laigh Tarbeg Farm B&B came unexpectedly from a robot. We knew we were staying at a dairy farm, but did not expect this. Turns out its job was sweeping hay to within reach of the cows. Stationery robots did the milking at this impressive dairy operation. Moira Watson runs an immaculate and very comfortable B&B. Her...

A lovely family with a warm welcome even down to little Molly who is straight into your lap. Be prepared to put some weight on as everything Moira cooks or bakes is the very best, would even win MasterChef if left to me. Had a full week at the B&B and could not think of any other holiday I've ever...

We stayed here for just the one night but had we known how good it would be we would have stopped for longer and used this as our base. Moira was more than helpful, recommending a wonderful and reasonable place to dine that evening and even storing some food we had brought from home for us in her fridge and...

An absolute perfect stop for peace and quiet. Welcoming tea and a snack upon arrival after a long drive. The hosts could not have been ant better. The room in this farmhouse was clean, quiet and soooo comfortable. The room lacked for nothing. Breakfast in the morning, who could move after the feast provided. The tour of the farm was...

Moira, John and Molly were perfect hosts. Nothing too much trouble. A beautiful farm and surroundings. A great stopover on our way back down from The Outer Hebridies to Yorkshire. Good, plentiful breakfast with coffee and cake on our arrival. Would reccomend this beautiful farmhouse to stay in to anyone wondering where to stay in Ayreshire

Easy to find farm house on the A70. En-suit room very spacious and pleasant - owners and Molly very welcoming. Beautifully cooked breakfast set us up for our journey home. Wished we could have stayed longer.
