We were sent here on a voucher from American Airlines, due to a flight delay requiring an overnight stay.. While the front desk staff person was pleasant and efficient, our room was less than desirable. This hotel is old and tired and, although a non-smoking room, the room still smelled of cigarette smoke. The bed sheet on on one of the beds apparently was not changed after the prior occupant, or it was put on dirty - it had lint and what appeared to be insect wings and carcasses. The staff was willing to move us to another room, but the teens were already asleep, so we took a clean sheet and changed the linens ourselves. Other than that, it was quiet and we were able to get a few hours sleep and shower. The room and the bathroom were clean.

My wife and daughter went for a pre college escape. They came home early. Filthy and rude. Not sure what is up but with this location so disappointing. The lobby looks nice. Don’t let it fool you. Asked for a hair dryer and was told there was one. Mold on the ceiling.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this was awful. The hotel was filthy. The common areas look like they’ve never been cleaned. The floors were wet and dirty. There was trash in the floors. The bathroom sink had hair in it and the ceiling was moldy. Members of our party found blood and urine on their sheets. On Saturday night there was pounding music we could hear in the 6th floor until 12:30 at night. Members of our party called multiple times and it didn’t get better. We were staying for a soccer tournament and our kids needed sleep they didn’t get. The front desk staff didn’t seem to care that they had so many unhappy guests. While we were waiting to check out we saw a number of guests come down and share the same complaints we had. The raucous party in the parking lot was out of control. The lot was full, we had no place to park, and we had to march our kids past drunken people smoking weed to get to our rooms where they couldn’t sleep. Don’t stay there with your family.

This is the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed in. My father booked us two rooms For my families Fourth of July holiday stay. All common areas are filthy, garbage everywhere you look. No housekeeping over a four day stay, hallways littered with hotel restaurant dishes that were never removed in our entire stay. Moldy shower ceiling, dirty folded towels, dirty sheets, carpets leave your feet black, cops are constantly in and out which is very sketchy. I will never return to this hotel and you should run far away!! Also management does not care so don’t bother reaching out to them.

Hi MrsABennett, Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns. I appreciate your choosing us for your trip to the city. We strive to exemplify a hassle-free experience and friendly services. I am sorry we could not meet your expectations surrounding the room's cleanliness, level of staff service, and upkeep of the in-room amenities. It is certainly not what you would expect when staying at one of our hotels. I will share your valuable feedback with the managerial team as a reference to enhance the service and lodging experience we provide. I also sent you a private message to ask for more information about your stay. I look forward to your response. Warmest regards, Zel N. Case Manager IHGService

I regret not checking the reviews for this hotel first. I assumed it would be nice, clean and safe because it was in Oakbrook. Boy was I wrong! First, the parking lot trashcan was overflowing and basically an invitation for rats. The entryway was littered with dust and paper, like it had not been swept or mopped in years. The couches in the lobby are covered with stains. While I stood in line to check in, I noticed a homeless looking man grabbing about 10 sandwiches out the cooler. He was touching and smashing them in his old grocery bag. Once he got to the counter to buy them, he decided he didn't want them all and put some back. The staff should have thrown them away after he touched and squished them all in his bag! Hello COVID.... Also while waiting in line, there was a drunk dude behind me singing, "F**k this Bull***t" over and over again. When it was his turn, he cursed at the desk staff and was angry because his card to his room didn't work. (Later the next night, the same thing happened to me. Smh) There was also a very loud party in one of the event rooms, so random people were coming in and out the hotel and had access to all the floors via elevator. There were no safety measures taken for those staying at the hotel. This happed all before I even checked in! Once I got my room key, the first room they gave me was on the 2nd floor. The smoke detector was beeping, and the desk clerk wasnt sure if they had replacement batteries, but finally found some. As he was changing it, I heard smoke detectors in other rooms beeping also. Anyway, after he left, I looked around the room and noticed old toothpaste on the toilet lid, pubic hair in the tub, a dirty sink, and white dried up stains on a picture above the bed. I requested another room, which turned out to be a little bit cleaner, but the halls and elevator to get to it was disgusting! There were brown stains on the comforter inside the duvet. I really couldn't sleep because I was scared I may see bugs. STAY AWAY.
