Checked in on a Saturday and as a “elite” Bonvoy member am eligible for a number of “perks “… That completely escaped the gentleman at the front desk. He also failed to provide us with the information about housekeeping, restaurants, etc. that we got on Sunday with a different staff. As to the room,… No do not disturb sign… No luggage rack… Sealed windows with a heating and air conditioning unit that made the room either exceptionally cold or very toasty… Neither of which were comfortable. Being a branded Sheraton/Marriott property, we expected a refrigerator but there was none but one was promptly delivered by singularly the most efficient and knowledgeable person in the hotel… The maintenance man! Great desk and workstation but the desk chair obviously had been broken or moved and a casual chair was substituted… I’m well over 6 feet and when I sat on the chair I could barely use the desk as I was sitting so low because of the chair. Breakfast in the lounge was another disappointment but, hey we’re on a roll! The usual hotel luggage cart was fine but the automatic doors on either side of the revolving door failed to function so you had to get either a guest or someone else to help hold the doors open while you negotiated a luggage cart with your luggage… On a positive note, the bed was comfortable… The water was hot the towels were fine but all of the missing and nonfunctional details became almost humorous over the three nights we spent at the hotel. Someone needs to go in and go from the front door to the last room and check everything as any attention to detail in the hotel is sorely lacking.…
Good afternoon Mr. Conteh, I am writing about our recent visit to your Northbrook Sheraton on Willow Road on 4/15-4/17. Upon arrival we were placed in Room 433 that was directly across from the Vending and Elevator. I called the front desk and they moved us to Room 421. We spent minimal time in the room after check in and returned after dinner. We attempted to turn on the TV but there was no remote in the room. My son went to the front desk to ask for a TV Remote which he was given. He returned with the remote and we turned on the TV to find that the screen was cracked and the TV not usable. I reported this the following morning and the two associates at the front desk accused us of damaging the TV. He said that the TVs are checked by management before anyone checks in. When I questioned that, he changed the response to housekeeping. I am writing to report we in no way damaged this TV. I do not see how housekeeping could have checked the TV without a remote in the room. We have an $850 TV charge on our bill. Before I dispute this charge with my visa, I kindly ask that you remove this charge immediately. On our second day they changed out the TV but then the door lock mechanism failed so we had to be moved to room 428. We were unable to access the room while the door was opened and then we had to move all of our bags to a new room. Finally, I booked a Club level room but did not receive any amenities for the Club level. I was told that they do not have club services on the weekend. The check in associate mentioned that there was a fridge on the 5th floor with water and soda but the 5 times I checked the room there was no water available, only mountain dew.…
We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel lobby and room were well maintained. The room was a decent size and the bed and pillows were firm which I appreciated. You can hear every noise from the hallway through the gap under the door. Additionally I was woken up both mornings by an alarm going off in another room. I don't know how that happened but it did.
We booked a room here for one night for an appt the next day. The staff were all very kind and the hotel overall was very impressive. Our room was big, clean and quiet aside from a somewhat noisy AC unit. The only issue we had was the king sized mattress felt as if was broken in the middle as it sagged towards the middle and creaked as it the frame was cracked. I let the front desk know when we checked out and they discounted my room by $50.00 and I was happy with that. Would stay here again given the location and the overall quality.
We had a party at Pinstripes next door. The Sheraton was the closest hotel. It was the right price and extremely comfortable. Very clean. Only “issue” we had was that housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:30AM. Checkout wasn’t until 12PM. Overall great stay.
Loved our stay! The bedding and bed were so comfortable we felt like we were sleeping on cloud nine! We really were impressed with the beauty of the room, and the plug ins for charging devices as well as extra plug ins on the table for business computer use. Everything was shiny clean but they had run out of non decaf coffee when we were there. Strange but true. We had brought our own iced coffee in the cooler so no big deal.
We booked this place for 7 nights sight unseen off the internet, relying on the Sheraton name. BIG MISTAKE! Despite their claims to scientific sanitation, etc., they throw all the dirty linens in the hallways for the guests to walk through. Our room looked clean when we arrived, but the next day no one came in to clean. When we asked them to make up our room, they told us WE DO NOT PROVIDE DAILLY CLEANING. It isn't even available at any price! The cleaning staff seemed to clean some rooms, but refused ABSOLUTELY to clean ours. We told them at the very least we needed fresh towels and the wastebaskets emptied, but we had to get into a big argument involving the front desk before they finally agreed to do so. I have never stayed in an American hotel where they refuse to provide daily cleaning, and all guests should be warned in advance. I didn't see any insects or rodents, but the "no cleaning" policy could certainly lead to infestations. If they say this "no cleaning" policy has anything to do with COVID, that is not true. We stayed in a very nice hotel in Las Vegas a few months ago, and they provided normal daily cleaning without claiming it would kill the staff, ha-ha!…
Hotel- Sheraton Northbrook (Northbrook, IL) Date- 9sept-12sept 2021 (3 nights) Overall: 5/5. Excellent. This was among the best Sheraton experiences we have had. This cozy, modern, & clean hotel is located in a serene North Shore area village and boasts a friendly, efficient, & professional staff. Rewards Club Recognition- 4/5. Very good. We were verbally thanked for our loyalty, and our room was upgraded to a “Club King” room, which included access to the Sheraton Club Lounge. We were assigned welcome amenity points and given meal vouchers for on the days that the lounge doesn’t serve breakfast. We felt like valued guests. Staff- 5/5. Excellent. Before our arrival, we called and spoke with Francis about our pet; she was friendly and knowledgeable. “Mo” checked us into the property, and he efficiently explained the property. Penny, at the reception, helped us when we extended our stay; she was very professional. Overall, everyone we interacted with was very kind, knowledgeable, & courteous. Property Appearance & Maintenance- 5/5. Excellent. The renovations really make this property shine. No outstanding maintenance items were evident. Exterior- 5/5. The exterior is debris free, and the hotel is well branded. Interior- 5/5. The lobby and corridors are clean, and the baseboards, walls, & carpets are scuff-free. All lighting was operational, as were both elevators. Accommodations- 4/5. Very good. We were assigned a “Club King” room, and we were very happy. The room was virtually spot free. The room was appropriately appointed, and the furnishings were in good repair. The bed- & bathroom was exactly as advertised on the hotel and chain websites. A stain was present on the wallpaper in the corner, and there was evidence of something like a water leak above the window by the ceiling; otherwise, the room was spot-free. The bedding was super comfortable. We would choose this room type again. Housekeeping- 5/5. Excellent. Our room was unquestionably clean. The bedding was fresh, unwrinkled, & blemish free. The carpets were immaculate, as was the bathroom. All toiletry items, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toilet paper, etc., were all provided in a supply adequate for the length of our stay. At no point during our stay did the housekeepers disturb us while the DND sign was in place. Each time we passed the housekeepers in the hallway, they were pleasant and eager to ensure we had everything we needed. Pool/Gym- 4/5. The fitness center and the pool were both available. Breakfast/Meal Options- 5/5. Excellent. In addition to the breakfast service being offering during the week in the club lounge, breakfast and dinner were both available in the restaurant downstairs. Beverages were available in the club lounge as well. Laundry- not evaluated. Computer/Printer/WiFi- 4/5. WiFi signal was not strong in at the end of the hallways, but while connected, streaming was smooth & uninterrupted. Other- At the time of our visit, signage to indicate that masks were mandatory were everywhere. Guests and employees alike complied.…
I recommend this hotel, very clean, good breakfast, nice staff and a friendly manager. Go there and enjoy! The area is safe and nice. It is also very close to Chicago Botanic Garden that has a free admission
I stayed here one night. Staff service was super helpful. I arrived very late and received a warm, but efficient, welcome. Similarly, service at check-out was helpful. I needed access to the business center; it was in the Sheraton Club on the 5th floor, which was closed due to the pandemic, but the staff member helpfully made a key so I could take care of my printing need. I also appreciated the complimentary coffee available in the morning. Location was easy for my business needs and is a nice suburban area. There are several shops nearby and many places to eat. Parking at the hotel was easy and safe. The room was fine—a pretty standard Sheraton. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room’s layout was a little awkward, with a long desk in-front of the window, which made closing the shades a bit difficult. The chair provided, while comfortable, was too low for the desk height. The shades left space on either side of the window, which let in a fair amount of light in the morning. Light sleepers might find this bothersome. But the room was clean and the furnishings, etc. were in good condition, and the lighting was good. Overall, an easy stay for business; I would not hesitate to return for that purpose.…
