Room in serious need of fumigating. I don't think I was put in a smoking room as it didn't smell like that, but simply awful, pervading odor. The kind that leaves a taste in your mouth. I was spraying hairspray around the room to help, to little luck. Why didn't I change rooms? Because it was quite late and I was exhausted. Furniture worn. Bed acceptable and sheets clean. Minimum bathroom supplies. Inexpensive, relatively speaking, but now I know why.

Go to check in and the room we requested over a month ago is not available. No king beds, but we have a double. Are you kidding me? Oh and the TV is a small box that comes in fuzzy, mattresses are broken down, everything in room is dirty, old and falling apart. It's a sorry excuse of a hotel!

We booked online... We arrived a day early so we thought we would just stay there... We unloaded, looked around... We were immediately grossed out. We ate (after a long ride from out of state) we set out to find another hotel... After am exhaustive search we found another one... We went to ask for our money back and we were told it had been four hours so we could not be refunded.... Fine... We stayed the night... We did not sleep under the covers and slept fully clothed... I will be uploading pictures to trip advisor of the peeling wall paper, broken Air conditioner, bullet holes in the walls and the taped up outside soon.... Trust me, pay $15.00 extra a night and find another hotel.

Their motto must be, "We absolutely don't do anything more than we have to."

The room we got had:

Tub and commode area small, barely able to move around while undressing/dressing.
Black mold on baseboard in small bath area.
Sink was backwards plumbed with cold from hotside and hot from coldside.
Cigarette burns on tub.
Cigarette burn holes in top bed coverings.
TV remote with no battery cover, had to press remote on table to get it to work.
Very marginal cleanliness.
Drip stains on mirror border, I cleaned off with one of the wash cloths.
Drywall was put up with nailsheads/screwheads visible.
Walls had peeling paint, under covering on window header was peeling from surface.

The only upside was location to the event we were attending.

I stood here with my family for my youngest daughters birthday. We were planning to be at Six flags on Sunday. So we checked in after 8pm on Saturday and we were planning to leave at 8am the following day. On checking in the person at front desk asked for my card and license I said I already payed and he said oh you did and I said yes on Hotels.com. We get to our room mind you it’s not updated it’s old. Upon arriving sheets and room was not clean smelled musty. We didn’t even have towels to shower! We Ate our dinner and went straight to bed. Following morning left at 8 am as planned. A few days later upon checking my account they claimed we made damages of 150.00 and we had a party. According to hotels.com I don’t know where they got party from because we literally ate and went to bed. Please don’t bother trying to save yourself a few bucks and going here I tried contacting the people at the hotel and they won’t answer my calls. They literally are scamming people check the reviews!

This place has a great price and the customer service was there. It has all your basic needs met- big comfty bed, a fridge, a microwave and a huge flat screen for entertainment. The room was really clean. It’s also right next to McDonald’s which is a huge plus!

My son was graduation from the Great Lakes Naval Training Facility and I had researched dozens of hotels in the area. Most said the area lodging was below par, gross, and dumpy. So I figured I'd have to spend 3 times my budget to find a clean and comfortable hotel. Well we found the Red Carpet Inn and loved it! It's no 5 star resort by any means but the rooms were very clean, smelled fresh, beds and bedding were clean and very comfortable! I alway ask for extra pillows and they brought them immediately! The best part about it was the free shuttle to and from the Naval Graduation. Saved us the hastle of driving in a city we were unfamiliar with, parking, and traffic. The bonus was it was only $57.00 a night!!! Definately consider this hotel if you are attending your child's graduation!!!

Stay away from this place. I was told room has been updated.lies!!! I got a suite for 5 because we were going to my son navy graduation. Place is nasty, sheets looks like it has never been wash for months. Stain and animal hairs on sheets hole on blacket. Bathroom looks like a sense from a scary movie. Booked for 3 night. Got in late so no choice but to stay for the one night. cancel the other 2 nights and went down to homewood. Very nice and clean there.

Checked in and the only thing clean was the sheets!!! Bathroom was despicable, I can't even say what was in there, just disgusting!! Ceiling fan was so dirty I thought the dirt was going to fly off, I was told non smoking room, but it smelled of smoke so bad, I could not stay there so I asked for my money back but was told I could only have my next day refunded!!! Please do not stay at this hotel it is VERY DIRTY!!!! There is NO wifi, at least none working at the time, We were in town for a family member graduating boot camp, what a shame this hotel can get away with this, I don't even know how it could be in business the way it was run, One of the front desk help was rude, also had me write down on a PAD of paper(not even their logo} about why I was so dissatisfied and said they would give it to the manager when they see him!! Really!!

Had go to mini mart across the parking lot for cleaning supplies upon check in. Bathroom had hair everywhere, soap scum in shower tub, very nasty. Evening check in clerk not helpful AT ALL. Asked for clean towels, never received in 5 days there, always told they were in the laundry. No Emergency Plan!!!! Tornado warnings and touch downs while there, we didnt know what to do so called front desk, were told to come to lobby. Get there and the same "unhelpful" clerk tells us he is "not authorized" to open basement for guests during a tornado.....WHAT THE HECK!!!!!

are their coffee pots in rooms
Answer from Steven W

No there are no coffee pots in the rooms! We booked a "suite" with what you can't even call a kitchen. Then we got in there and had no pots or pans or anything to cook with so basically it was pointless to get a "suite" so we could cook our own meals. Then come to find out the second to last day we were there we found a bed bug in our bed and the front office played it off like no big deal! Worst place ever, can't believe the navy graduation paper work recommends this place.

Also, I forgot to add that they wouldn't even refund me and I didn't even stay the night. I have the keys back that night..
