Felt very welcome. The owner and campers were all so friendly. We felt at home! We stayed on tent site T3. It was in front of their little lake with great views. We were there on a Friday and Saturday night and they had plenty of activities like a bean bag tournament, chili cook off, live singer at the stage...

This is a great campground in northeaster IL. The sites are level concrete pads with full hookups and lots of trees and nice views. We were in #132 with a view to the little lake. They have a really nice pool, boat rental, fishing and entertainment many weekends of the summer. There is a good quality summer theater right across...

This is a gem. Ron has built a beautiful campground. From the concrete pads to the pool, to the bathrooms, this place is well cared for. The fishing lake is such a nice addition! The kids loved it! We will be back!

This was my 3rd year staying at Timberlake for a week in July. This year we stayed from July 20th - 24th. Every year this trip gets better and better!!! I love that Ron and his staff are so accommodating! There were 2 pretty nasty storms while we were there and one actually broke the vent cover on the roof...

We camped here for the second time in July and it.was.hot. Hades hot. The power went off during a lightening storm and a tree was struck but that's what happens when you're surrounded by corn in the middle of IL. The pool area is nice but overrun by adolescent kids who insisted on diving into the three foot end, despite...

We just returned from a week of rv camping here. The front office staff were very friendly. Someone led us to our site. We overlooked the small lake which was nice. We loved walking the dogs near the lake. Many turtles and bullfrogs! They have a small store that also sells some food like awesome corn dogs, mini tacos, etc....

Back to visit for the 3rd time in two years, and it was great. We brought our 36' RV to park to enjoy some fall ambiance and it was well worth it. Normally we had visited over a weekend during the summer. On this trip we were lucky enough to spend a Thursday through Monday enjoying the resort, and for...

If you want a nice little getaway in the woods, this place is perfect. They have cabins you can stay in overlooking the water. You can fish there as well. Beautiful trees and wildlife. They have a nice little shop here as well. The shop has a gorgeous deck overlooking the water. Very romantic. Timber lake playhouse is right across...

We have been camping for 20+ years, and we were looking for a campground close to home to keep our camper at, got referred here from a friend at work. The first weekend there, we booked for the whole season!! Staff is great, grounds are well kept, and love the theme weekends! Pool is clean, love the Margarita Bar, great...

We made a last minute decision to go Timber Lake Resort. There was only one site open when I called. It was a premium site with full hook ups. Although I was hesitant as I thought it was a bit pricey the site we had was very nice. The man who lead us to our site was very friendly and...

“We chose site 131 for its view of the lake and it was further away from the pool, activity area, and Margarita Bar, so it was a bit quieter.”
