Very disappointed. I just was there for one night. Arrived in the evening and just wanted to relax. I changed quickly. Then noticed the toilet and bathroom floor hadn’t been cleaned. I had no desire to call and be moved. I’ve carried disinfectant wipes since COVID. So I just cleaned it myself. Ugh! Then I found socks on the floor. Obviously the floor wasn’t vacuumed either. Then I began to wonder what really was clean. I don’t ask a lot when I’m at a hotel. But a clean room is really a must.
We were in town for a soccer tournament. The hotel has what you need, but definitely needs some love. The common areas were oddly shaped and kind of small, the pool area needs updating. Our room was quiet and a decent size (although again, shaped oddly), but was really, really musty smelling. The saving grace and a big reason for the overall rating was that staff was great - really efficient and accommodating without a hint of attitude.
Both pillows had BLOOD on them! We're not talking about hair on towels. We're talking about biohazard . Human pathogen! This is beyond unacceptable, even in "normal" times, let alone during a pandemic. I told the front desk and the lady didn't care. She said what do you want me to do about it, I don't have another room! I had to sleep in my car and they wouldn't refund anything. NEVER STAY HERE!!!
Nice location; close to attractions. Rooms were spacious and up to date. Breakfast was a major disappointment. Offered hot breakfast, served mediocre continental breakfast: bagels, granola bars, fruit. Stock piled with high carb foods 👎🏻
We are currently staying here while I make this review. This is our 5th day here. We have 2 rooms. It’s clean and tidy, pool is not heated which is a bummer as kids love to swim but it’s snowing at this time even though it isn’t winter yet. Housekeeping is great, the ladies tried to speak english as I tried to speak Spanish. Breakfast was better than other hotels and the lady staff was very pleasant and attentive. The place is not in a busy area which we liked as my daughter’s daycare is just beside this hotel. The front desk person I spoke with though this afternoon needs training in customer service as his service was -meeeeeh. I asked him a question about looking at another room with connecting door, I got complete silence with him looking through printed papers... I waited in complete silence for him to acknowledge that he heard me but he just clicked on the keyboard making me guess if he heard me at all. I asked if he heard me and said,”yes, I’m checking the rooms.” It’s either he is really not a friendly and approachable person but he as a front liner should learn to have these customer service traits. I guess it’s not just me as my husband also noted it first day when he checked the rooms. We are moving to another hotel nearby anyway.…
Location is in an out of the way location that is close to the main Marriott Resort and retail/dining off of Milwaukee Avenue. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. The lobby area looks OK but the whole hotel looks like it needs some TLC, a steam clean, and a lot of maintenance. Gym is small with one elliptical and when I went to use the machine the TV didn't work and the mx man couldn't communicate to me what was wrong. The rooms themselves have an odd internal layout that makes the king bed seem tight in its space and too close to the bathroom. Just not a good vibe. Expensive for what you get in my opinion. The free breakfast is worth exactly what they charge....coffee is plentiful, hot, and excellent.
I'm extremely disappointed in Spring Hill Suites. My sister-in-law got married and stayed here. My wife and I left a gift worth ~$130 at the front desk to be put in her room after the wedding, and the staff lost it. I spent hours working with them, providing receipts, getting transferred to wrong places, getting hung up on, filing a claim, and ultimately Deb Watson from the claims dept. was unwilling to reimburse me for the amount they lost. I figured this would be an easy situation to rectify, and mistakes happen. But in the end, they were unwilling to do what they could to make it right. I expected more from Marriott service.
The hotel is set in a somewhat sparse area there isn’t much in walking distance. The hotel staff were great and the hotel itself is very beige but perfectly clean and tidy. I couldn’t find a menu for in room dining but there are plenty of nice restaurants and places to get food within a 5 to 10 minute drive. The gym was small but well stocked. Tom summarise this hotel would be say decent, clean and solid place to rest your head.
Very convenient spot for Pipe City but not the best property. Clean and basic rooms. Lobby is very basic but you are able to buy snacks and beer / wine. Not a newer location if that’s what you are looking for.
The room was clean;the front desk staff were pleasant and efficient, and the breakfast was sufficient. I had expected a little more from Marriott. There was no where to sit in the lobby except for a very basic area of tables and chairs for breakfast. There were several large groups all trying to find a place to gather so it was extremely noisy. Although there was a sleeper sofa in the room, the lay-out did not allow for more than three or four people to sit comfortably. Neither the pool nor the hot tub had heated water. The breakfast was very basic and the attendant was not very friendly. It was an "OK" stay in a good location.
