When I arrived to the hotel it was already pretty late, I was tired and in a bad mood. I walked up to the front desk where a true gentleman, who I assume was the front desk manager, without loosing any time checked me right in. He must’ve notice what a wreck I was, he gave me the key and a kind word that was much needed. After a good night rest,in the morning Alex M was still working the front desk and he gave me directions to a very cozy movie theater in Addison which I enjoyed very much. After I checked out,I felt well rested and fresh,the perfect day off that was just what I needed. It wouldn’t be such a wonderful day if not Alex,who knew exactly what to say and recommend. Thank you!

One of the finest Hotel in The area, Cherry at Front desk was very welcoming, Room was clean and well stocked. We were there for our Sons graduation in Now arena. Hotel location was very convenient and Food was awesome. Overall Managed professionally. Dena at check out was great too.

Definitely will choose Marriott Northwest during my next stay at Hoffman Estates. The front desk manager Alex was a great help with all of the questions from navigating to the best tacos to giving an easy access to wifi. Thank you. The stay was very easy and stress free.

I get this happens but to be lied to repeatedly is BS. Got my reservation booked, confirmation number, check in email that day. Showed up to the hotel and was told my reservation was caught in a booking glitch. Was luckily able to find another hotel in the area (hotels.com). I called Bonvoy and somehow was on the phone with a Manny (Mani) from the property who told me someone (third party) called to cancel my reservation earlier that day. I asked him to provide details and he said he would get back to me in five minutes. The only people who knew which flight I was on were me and my wife (and Air Canada) and I don't even think they knew which hotel I was staying at. He did not call back after two hours so I called the hotel again to find out what happened. He took the call but insisted someone called in to cancel my reservation. I told him again that was not possible. He insisted and as soon as I said I would be leaving a very bad review on TripAdvisor he got defensive and hung up on me. I called back to the hotel and they said he just left for the night. I asked the front desk manager and she said it happened to a lot of people tonight. Not that it matters but I am a Bonvoy Gold Elite Lifetime member so don't take anything for granted.

Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and we sincerely apologize for falling short of meeting your expectations on this visit. However, allow me to politely disagree with some of the points you have stated in your complaint. First of all, no one lied to you as someone did call the hotel reservations cancelling your booking stating flight cancellation as the reason. Secondly, you never came to the hotel; as we informed you on the phone that your reservation has been cancelled; that led to your using most undesirable language which was neither necessary nor appreciated. In fact, the reservation specialist also duly informed you that you won't be charged for your reservation. You had reportedly acknowledged this albeit under protest, but you definitely never came to the hotel. Also, I am told that Mr Manny never hung up on you despite your inappropriate outburst. The hotel team is always committed to delivering an exceptional experience and are always brainstorming creative ways to exceed the expectations of our discerning guests, such as yourself. I visited Marriott this week and was SOOO impressed with the staff, the clerks, housekeeping and especially the chef! Let me tell you, the bang bang shrimp and burger were to die for!! Chef Dennis goes all out for guests who dine in. Did I mention how good the bang bang shrimp and burger were? For someone who travels 49 weeks out the year this hotel has the best shrimp!! Please visit Dennis and tell him Kathy sent you. You will not regret it!

Great staff, nice rooms, clean showers. The service manager Alex M was very nice. I was having a terrible day and he'll never know how much his kindness meant to me. This place is wonderful and I hope we stay here next time I'm in town.

Attended a Fraternity Installs over the weekend and was quite surprised with the reviews versus our actual experience. PROS: the Sales Staff Mitzia was very accommodating and professional. The Banquet Guy, Jaime was on top of his game, checking on the group everyone and then. Oscar the Maintenance Guy was checking on us as well ensuring that the temperature is good, because it was almost 100 degrees that Saturday. The lady who works at the Bar was attentive. The room is well maintained, would need some furniture and decor updates. CONS: Outdated, Restaurant is closed, however, the Service and room that we were in was quite impressive.So that covers the outdated issue.

This is a horrible hotel for service. The shuttle that was supposed to pick up my wife and kids took over 2 hours. Once it finally got there, it was the last run of the night fitting only 11 out of 18 passengers. Every time we called the hotel during the two hour span, they would just lie to us and say the shuttle is almost there. When I finally talked to the manager, she then lied about the shuttle. Her response was “ just take a taxi”. The taxi was over $90. When I called back after the shuttle didn’t have room, no one at the hotel answered. I called a dozen times. As a platinum elite member, I would expect better service from Marriott. I will be moving from Marriott to Hilton. Say goodbye to 50 nights a year Marriott!

Dear Guest, This is to acknowledge receipt of your feedback. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and we sincerely apologize for falling short of meeting your expectations on this visit. Allow me to explain. We are not a natural choice for a distressed hotel for ORD as we are 18 miles away. We are picked up as an option only when all hotels are sold out at OHare and we are informed at the last minute. The Airlines know that we only have a 10 seater shuttle and it would take an hour long turn around time to pick up passengers again. Also, until the time a guest walks in thru the door and announces that he or she is an elite Marriott Bonvoy member; we have no way to ascertain that. So, please do not hold it against Marriott for not being able to service you as a distressed passenger guest. Last but not the least, my team members never lie and I do not allow such attitude in-line with the very basic tenets of Hospitality 101. I again apologize to you for the unfortunate inconvenience over which we have little control. Having said this, we are also trying to beef up our shuttle services to avoid such occurrences. I was put up in room 721. When I returned to the room in the evening I noticed the bathroom was used and completely dirtied in my absence. The manager was called however he didn’t care and just said “we don’t know”. There is a camera right outside the room door and I insisted they check the footage. It’s been 4 days now and the hotel management has not cared to follow up. Avoid this property if you value the safety of your belongings

We are slowly getting back to the pre-Pandemic levels of service as expected at a full-service hotel; but staffing continues to be a challenge for the hotel industry. In my 30 years of hoteliering career, this is the first time I have heard of such a bizarre feedback. Needless to say we are very concerned. I have called in our camera company senior technician to look at any possible clues in the recording for that day. The hotel team is committed to delivering an exceptional experience and are always brainstorming creative ways to exceed the expectations of our discerning guests, such as yourself. I will most certainly get back to you again. Marriott Hotels have concrete plans for complete re-engineering and turnaround of the Marriott brand; and this would also include a complete makeover of the guest rooms and public areas at our Hotel. We have committed north of $10M for the planned product upgrade at our Hotel in 2022-23. The 02 model rooms and 04 model Suites for the final go ahead will be ready in the next 30-45 days. The new accommodation would have no carpet flooring; and have a wall mounted 65" TV among other modern amenities and state-of-the-art technology. The renovation of public areas, meetings and board rooms, Ball Room, Restaurant, Bar and a brand-new Club M would also be undertaken between November'2022 thru April'2023 in a planned manner ensuring "near zero inconvenience" to our valued patrons. The hotel itself is very nice. The lobby is nice and spacious, they have a Starbucks, small snack bar, nice sized gym, and lots of meeting spaces. But the rooms, which most will argue the most important part, were nasty. Dated furniture, decor, and oily feeling green carpet, stains on the bedskirt, stains on the walls (looked like ketchup smears?), trash left in the trashcans from previous stay, dust/mold in the airvent in the shower, peeling wallpaper...I could go on. The mattress was also old and creaky and the room smelled weird. Not bad, just...weird. The only nice space was the bathroom (minus dusty shower vent). Bathroom was clean and sanitary. I don't think i'll be staying here again though - the room was not worth my money.
