Stayed here for one night in a twin room with shared bathroom. The room itself was basic but most importantly - clean. The guesthouse was full that night so unfortunately the shared bathroom became a bit of an issue for me particularily in the morning. I had to wait at least 20 minutes or so before I could visit the...

Stayed here twice nothing fancy but clean and very friendly people. The breakfast was very good. Good location as stop off to go further north and easy access to Edinburgh and Glasgow. It is very close to the M8 but you don't really notice this.

Stayed one night in a double room. Bed was very comfy. Room was snug but fine for what I needed. Lovely powerful, hot shower in en suite room, with tea and coffee making facilities and satellite TV. Enclosed lane for letting dogs have a rumble. Delicious breakfast and very friendly and welcoming host, Heather. I will definitely return :)

Right off the M8 should mean noisey, but not at Blairmains. The room was very good with everything you could ask for and more. The shower, whilst a bit of a climb, was one of the best I've found anywhere. Our hosts were wonderfully friendly and certainly not intrusive with the room well away from the main family area. And...

We were staying over for two nights for family reasons with our dog and could not fault this place. Easy to find just off the M8 with friendly and helpful owners. Rooms cosy and clean, breakfast very good and good value for money. Excellent location and would recommend to anyone.

Booked this at the last minute. Read the reviews which were close enough. Despite what was said it is easy to find, it is close to the main road but their is no road noise. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was a1 with grilled not greasy frickin fried to death bacon. The room was adaquate clean...

I have read the reviews and was sure they would reflect on reality. Unfortunately, this time I made a mistake and could have stayed in the Station Hotel in Shotts for the same amount of money (£45/night). I was going down South and thought this would be one of my lovely stopovers. The bedding and towels were clean. However, the...
