we stayed here last year and i forgot to write a review. the staff was very nice. breakfast is not complimentary at this hotel. the rooms are very spacious suites, with full fridge and coffee service.
This hotel is a gem! The room was very clean and quiet. The staff were all very friendly and readily available. Location is great, on Milwaukee Ave which makes it easy to get to almost every where. The hotel itself has a lot of cool nooks and art, the atrium is beautiful. I can't say enough about this hotel and I'll definitely be back again.
Very nice hotel. Staff was excellent. Room was very nice and clean. Only negative comment, bathroom was nice (small) but shower was really bad. Water pressure was not good and water would not get very hot. Wet bar in room was awesome and full door to separate the rooms was outstanding. Good place. Will stay again.
If you are looking for a night to sleep and move on, this hotel will suffice. However, if customer service is important to you, then my rating is a reflection of it. Pleasant check-in process but one staff (who checked me in) was incompetent. This should have been a red flag as the restaurant staff members, despite their pleasant demeanor, had no sense of what customer service meant. 10 minutes after placing an order and inquiring about its status, the only thing they can say was 'idk'. A family of 7 arrived at about this time; they placed their order. 10 minutes later, their food shows up - all 7 of them. I asked about our party of 2 order to which the response was 'idk'. What a waste of valuable ~30 minutes of time! What's worse? The management offered to remedy the situation; however, it wasn't until about a week later when I contacted them that they decided to act - do they really have the best interest in their customers? It get's better, their compensation was less than 10% of what others have received from different Marriott hotels. Finally, I always receive a follow-up survey which enables me to leave a review directly with the hotel - guess what, I really believe they purposefully did not send me one anticipating a poor review. So, here it is. I rarely leave a review - only when it's extraordinary, either way. Hope this helps you make an informed decision.…
I highly recommend the Glenview Suites hotel. The room is spacious and bed incredibly comfortable. Each staff person with whom I interacted was gracious and kind. And the hotel is well situated near 294 and Glenview shops and restaurants. The ambiance of the hotel is quite hip and clearly has been refreshed. Love it!
Hotel offered spacious suite & breakfast package for a very reasonable price. Modern & clean. Very comfy bed and pillows. Separate living room area. We stayed 4 nights over Thanksgiving weekend. Restaurant super busy a few mornings but staff hard working and friendly and delivered. Menu limited but food good. Is located on Tollway, but little noise. Drive east to Edens Xway no more than 15 minutes. Next door to ABT, most popular appliance store in area. Directly across from The Grove, a park. Only complaint was design of bathroom - dim, indirect lighting and no towel racks! Terrible. There was no maid service unless you stayed 5 nights, but they would bring things to your room. Beautiful atrium filled with plants which would be a nice gathering space for a large group. Large hotel but had a personable feel to it.…
I booked this hotel for the Thanksgiving Holiday to be near family and friends. It was important to me that the hotel was pet friendly, since my 15 lb. bichon frise isn't very happy to be boarded. Well, maybe they are pet friendly and maybe they're not depending upon who you ask. When I checked in, the front desk representative petted my dog and complimented me on how well behaved he was. She said I should bring him with me for dinner. Dinners are going to be with family, so I thought I would bring him to breakfast, but was told that was not allowed. I offered to put him in his cage, but again, they said no. There was exactly one person in the whole restaurant, so I'm not sure what the issue was. I did takeout and it was less than adequate, greasy eggs and potatoes and had to pay extra for the bagel, as I was told that no bread was included. I booked a concierge level room, even though I didn't need to, being a Titanium Elite forever Bonvoy member. I wanted the luxury of just walking down the hallway to the lounge. However, when I got here, I was told the lounge was closed. Somehow they forgot to mention that during the booking process. I was given three breakfast coupons, but somehow that's not quite what I was looking for. It gets even better. We are staying for three nights. I was told that we would have absolutely NO housekeeping service, no garbage pickup, no bedding changes, clean towels only upon request. All because they were keeping staff and guests safe from Covid issues. How is it that in the past month, I have been in a Ritz Carlton, a St. Regis and even in a Hyatt Place, yet they provided housekeeping services, the RC and the SR even providing pm turndown service. I think its just a way of keeping costs to a minimum, not focused on providing safety to staff and guests. I can tell you I didn't feel unsafe in any of the hotels I stayed in. One more thing. The lighting is pitiful. The living area has one overhead light and a small table lamp. The bathroom is really dark, not very good for doing one's makeup, and the bedroom is dark, but you can get lots of sunlight through the two windows, except on days like today that are dark, cloudy and drizzley. Not coming back here again.…
I can excuse the Covid related problems, such as no room cleaning (except perhaps during long stays), short-staffed at front desk, very limited food menu, but there are fundamental problems that are not Covid related. Lack of light is top of my list. One rather dim light on the desk plus a similarly dim light between the two beds were grossly inadequate for any comfortable reading or even working. That failing is abetted by no chair other than a desk chair in the bedroom. This being called (inaccurately in my opinion) an all suite hotel, what is really a large entry way has a open out couch, but that room is even darker and overall pretty depressing. Even the bathroom had a lighting problem because the light around the sink mirror, which might have made shaving considerably easier, didn’t work. Furthermore, if you require even a minimal level of charm these rooms - at least the one I was in - are not for you despite being good sized. They may have tried - there were pieces of “art” here and there in the room - but they in my view they failed. But I found the bedding comfortable, so if you only want a place to crash, at what seemed to me at the time to be an inexpensive rate, this might do.…
We always stay at this hotel, no matter the name. Our room was ok, the carpet had some stains and the bathroom had some chipped/broken wood. The beds and pillows are super comfy. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the pool. The pool was foggy, we saw them put chemicals in but you couldn’t see the bottom.
They were upgrading their billing system. I am still waiting for a receipt to be emailed. They didn’t put in my Marriott rewards account. My fridge did not work, it had mold growing in it. The ice machine was located on the 3rd floor, so you had to take the hot elevator up to the he 3rd floor to get ice. The bar and dining was closed and they did not advertise that. I had a dirty pink plastic spoon left from the previous guest in the bathroom under the sink. The entry way was leaking and they had trash cans collecting the water. The carpets were dirty, trash laying around. Not impressed. The people at the front desk were friendly, that is the only reason they get a 2. Overall, not impressed. Hoping I get to turn in my travel reimbursement, but can’t until they send my invoice.
