We stayed with Sandra & Bert for three days in the beginning of our travels through Panama. We could not have chosen a better start. Away from the big city: hello paradise. This place is SO relaxing. Small, in the middle of nowhere (no wifi, a great idea), with the most beautiful garden with all sort of birds and monkeys....

If you are looking for a warm, adorable B&B to stay at, allowing you to enjoy nature and a lot of quiet time (and you can appreciate the fact that there is no wifi), do not look any further. Sandra takes you on a super interesting jungle hike (sloths guaranteed) and makes amazing dinners/lunch, Bert will make you eggs for...

We spent 2 nights at this guest house as part of our discovery tour of Panama. The accommodation is clean and offers all the basic necessities you would expect for a guest house. But there is some really nice extras, including a well-stocked bar and the owners who can prepare dinner upon request. The resident dogs are also very nice....

My fourth stay here in two years and that says it all, keep coming back. Stayed for three weeks this time round and everything was perfect as always. It's not common when staying for long periods of time at hotels and guesthouses all over the world to feel a part of the family that runs the place, this is the...

Our friends stayed here for a couple of nights and we joined them on three occasions for dinner. My, what a delicious treat that was! The place itself is also gorgeous and the rooms they offer looked also very clean and comfy. The owners are, of course, very welcoming as well and make you feel right at home. Can only...

Great place with nice clean rooms with bathroom. The bar/breakfast area has a superb view over the bay especially during sunset. The German owners are very sympathetic and helpful. Nice garden with howler monkeys and an occasional sloth. Excellent breakfast in the morning.

We stayed here for two days and had a great time. Only three rooms make this a very cosy and personal accommodation. The owners - Bert and Sandra - were really lovely hosts. Pina colada's and Cuba libres made by them are fresh and delicious! The room we stayed in was clean, big and had airco (thankfully). Each morning we...

I spent 8 days and nights here in March of 2016 and could not be any happier with my experience. Bambu Guesthouse is a real gem. The hotel is on the border of Portobelo National Park and a 2 minute walk to the Marina. We were on a budget and in 8 days were able to go hiking, snorkeling, visit...

The house is really great. Although it is not by the sea, it offers a perfect view on it. You have breakfast on a deck looking at the sea, the house is in a beautifully kept garden, right at the edge of a rainforest. You can hear and see monkeys in the trees nearby. Sandra and Bert are very helpful...

“The Mamey room is beautiful”

“Mamey and Ingvar room have an ocean view (front of hotel). The Gunnar room is around the back, with view of the garden/rainforest.”

“Ask for the room facing the ocean”
 of 5 bubbles Monito2014, 6 Nov 2015 | Read review
“Our room had a great view of the ocean and Isla Mamey, and was the only one on that side of the house. However, it got a lot of afternoon/evening sunlight, so it was hotter during those hours. There are two other rooms on the backside of the house; they look out into the jungle, so you're trading a better view for a cooler room.”
 of 5 bubbles LindseyS588, 12 May 2014 | Read review
“The room with the view to the ocean has a king bed, airco and is the biggest room. It has a connecting door to one of the two rooms in the back, facing the garden, which has a little kitchen and 2 twin beds (no airco but with ceiling ventilator). The other room facing the garden has a queen bed and airco.”
