The Hotel is in a lovely picturesque and quiet location. Very comfortable room - excellent fish & chips in lounge bar's comfortable surroundings. We did look at the Restaurant Menu which offered excellent dinner choices. Staff very friendly. Just 4 miles from historic City of Gloucester - we definitely plan to visit again!

Was greeted by a very friendly receptionist. A chilled bottle of champagne was waiting for us in our room. Nice grounds. Excellent food. All in all loved it and would definately go back for another visit.

My wife and I visited this hotel for one night as a prelude to a canal cruise with English Holiday Cruises. Our room was on the opposite side of the hotel to the dinning room and function suite which may be advisable due to comments elsewhere about noise from weekend functions. We stayed on a Monday night and there was...

We stayed on a Secret Escape and had a fantastic deal which was not bettered on our recent UK holiday. We booked a Superior Room, which was beautiful, with the best shower I have ever used. We had a Cream Tea on arrival in a corner of the lovely old fashioned bar, with hot scones, jam and cream and then...

We had an overnight stay on a Saturday. On arrival, the reception staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size, with plenty of storage, a desk and chair, tea/coffee making facilities - plus a complimentary bottle of Prosecco on ice. The room was very clean and I have to give a special mention to the bathroom;...

A great hotel, with a great value (and delicious) dinner, bed and breakfast rate. Yes, a little tired in places, but that adds to the atmosphere. Friendly staff and very dog friendly (massive ground with loads of space for dog walking). Its worth paying a little bit more to get one of the Superior rooms with wonderful views overlooking the...

Great rooms, lovely hotel just a shame the staff do not understand English and had issues understanding basic needs. The Management seemed more interested in completing their admin jobs than attending to guest needs.

We managed to benefit from a very good offer that included DB&B and a voucher for afternoon tea. For the amount we paid I was not expecting a lot from the hotel but was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean and furnished to a good standard. The staff were friendly and attentive. We even had a very pleasant view...
