Nestled by the natural beauty of the wilds, Sterling Corbett is situated in the valley of Merchula, on the banks of Ramganga River. This property is a luxury jungle resort on the edge of the Jim Corbett. Driving to Merchula where Sterling Corbett is situated, you will find breathtaking view of the forest and mountain ranges. The spacious rooms are fully furnished and complemented by splendid views of mountain ranges, panoramic valley and Ramganga River which makes these rooms and cottages very special retreat. We had booked their premier cottages which were a sheer delight. One that the cottages were quite approachable from the reception & dining area and also with kids running around we didn't have to take the long staircase which the rooms area had. In terms of amenities the place had a few options which again were a great relaxation. Few options available here are, 1. Carrom 2. Table Tennis 3. Swimming Pool - One really worriable thing about using the pool was that there is no caretaker there or an expert which can keep a watch on kids. You have to be very vigilant if you have small kids 4. Activities like Commondo Net, Burma Bridge (quite small), shooting, crocodile sightings, waterfall etc were there but all were chargeable around ₹300/- per activity and per person which was really very expensive as these are mostly complimentary with your bookings, atleast the in-house one's. Nature trekking was also there which was ₹500/- per person Coming to the food, one advise is that you atleast take Breakfast & Dinner meal including in your package as food here is damn expensive. 2 peices break & butter is around ₹200/- & Veg Biryani costs around ₹500/- The quality of food is quite good, fresh meal across the day with good variety in breakfast (south indian, north indian & eggs section) along with dinner options (2 veg, 1 non veg, Chinese as well). Deserts wasn't really upto mark specially the Halwa & Sewiya. Thinking about night' party at the Resort they even charge you for the Ice Cube bucket. All in all its a nice resort to visit but highly expensive in terms of food, amenities and services.…
Very nice property settled in a peaceful environment and beautiful location. Mr.Rajendra Choudhary in front office was very helpful during our whole stay and even when we made booking till we reached property and thereafter. Service staff is also good with the resources available in that terrain. Will recommend it to friends and will definitely visit again. Thank you to the whole staff for making our stay good.
