Hard to be the Drake. Great location. Easy walk to restaurants and shopping. I'm a runner and it's only a few steps to the lake which has a terrific trail to run on. Room was great. Comfortable beds. The only small complaint I have is that it's hard to walk through the halls and not see old room service trays...

We reserved a King Bed Deluxe room. We were given room 746, a lovely room with a view of Lake Michigan. However, the bed was NOT a king-sized bed. It didn't even appear to be a queen-sized bed. Because the room was so lovely, we decided to try sleeping in the smaller bed. But I was unable to sleep, partly...

The Drake is a true gem, it's an old hotel with old world charm. Has all the modern things that everyone expects now like wifi but still has the hot water radiator in the room with a slight gurgle and the well dressed bellmen. The customer base seems to appreciate the finer things and the Drake delivers without it being...

We liked the hotel and would stay again. The rooms are a little dated but the service the staff were top notch. We loved the bar with live music. The location just off Michigan Avenue - great for shopping and seeing Chicago.

Just walking in you feel the like you have gone back to a 1930's classy hotel. The room was very nice the bed and bedding very comfortable. Very clean service was wonderful. Several places to dine or have a cocktail. It was snowing one of the days we stayed in and had drinks and lunch very tasty. Very reasonable at...

We have stayed several times. It was like coming home. The doorman remembered us from last year. The front desk clerk was pleasant and on point though busy. Even though she could not provide an upgrade, she reassured that my selected room was a good one. It was. 129 is on the corner and extra large with a great view...

What a beautiful old property. Well maintained. Great service everywhere but the Executive lounge. Drake Bros. served up delicious soup and sandwich for lunch. Afternoon tea in the Palm Court is a must (avoid the 2-tops at the top of the stairs in front of harpist - grand central station traffic wise horribly disruotive). The Executive lounge is the oroginal...

We stayed here for the Grateful Dead shows this summer at Soldier Field and we had a blast. We were so happy to be away from the madness and to be staying at an awesome Chicago hotel. Great room service and service overall. The Drake is close to many great restaurants and shopping galore. We truly enjoyed our stay and...

Perfect stay. Staff and services impeccable. Every aspect of the stay was great. The rooms are classic, but with modern amenities. The location is great for shopping and fine dining. Waking distance for everything.
