I came to Chicago to photograph an exhibit of Greek artifacts at the Field Museum. I wanted a hotel near a bus stop so I could return to the Field Museum the next day for additional photos if necessary or visit the Art Institute of Chicago since it had been seven years since I had been there. I caught a...

Stayed here on a trip to Chicago. The hotel is in a great location opposite Grant Park. We were only in Chicago 4 days but I think got to see quite a lot of stuff due to the location. The hotel room was standard, we stayed in the newer part of the hotel, which I was pretty happy about after...

Some staff had a terrible attitude which makes you think they don't like there job. Parking is bad which I paid $39 for one nigh and $55 if you don't get a discount, A.C is not working so its hot in a room which is hard to sleep and a terrible noise coming out from the bathroom.

If you like ornate architecture this is the place, just lovely lobby area for photo ops. this is an older hotel. Positives - Our room was quaint and charming, we had a lakeview double, our views were spectacular and the natural incoming light during the day just light up our all white room. No issues with cleanliness of room. Located...

We have stayed here a couple of times just for a weekend, usually a girls night out and have always had a fantastic time. Karen Rodriguez has always been such a great help in accommodating us and selecting the best room for our group size. This last stay was with in a suite with two double queen size beds with...

It's a gorgeous old building. Excellent location. *Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are fairly small, but ours was clean and comfortable. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, but the wifi was fast and reliable. We will probably stay there again (*this did NOT include the employees at the desk)

Booking the room was easy thanks to Karen R. who patiently answered all my questions. We got a two bedroom suite in the 6th floor with a stunning view of Michigan Avenue and the lake. The Room was spacious and everything was very clean and neat. Checking in and out was a breeze; the front desk staff members were friendly.

We stayed 4 days mid January and I was so happy with my decision to stay there. Yes, the building is old, built in 1893 but we saw the age in places where it didn't really matter. Our rooms (we switched for a better view) were well furnished with relatively new furniture in a modern minimalist-esque theme. Our first room...

There were pros and cons of this hotel. First of all its location was great, just in the middle of downtown, close to many tourist attractions. The rooms were really big and large. On the other side, it was very old furnished. But biggest problem was facing with a cockroach at the bathroom which was bigger 3 inches.
