Picked Congress due to the amazing location, and it did not disappoint! Centrally located and walking distance to EVERYTHING we wanted to see, Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Soldier Field, Millennium Park and the Bean, Navy Pier, and River walk. Check in was amazingly fast and painless,as was check out. They validated our parking so it was only $39. Hotel has...

We decided on starting a new tradition by being in a new city for Easter. Chicago was our lucky winner and we stayed at the Congress. The old school vibe is my favorite. The kids got a kick out of the history that came with the place and our view was the Buckingham fountain and Lake Michigan. Beautiful back drop...

Our family loved The Congress! Being so close to Buckingham Fountain, the Lake, Maggie Daley Park, Chicago Institute of Art, the El (& Dunkin Donuts) was the highlight of our stay. The Congress is quiet (eerily so at times) butt our room was not great on climate control. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was excellently clean! We...

So we check in the congress on April 14,2017. Check in time was between 12:30am/1:30am! We had to settle for a non smoking room cause the there wasn't any smoking rooms available. That was no problem being that we were so tired from our delayed flight that finally made it Chicago. THE ROOM WAS 129.00 plus tax Which made it...

The hotel was very nice and felt very upscale. The staff was a bit aloof, but helpful otherwise. The main problems I had were that the beds were not super comfortable, and you could hear every noise happening in the bathroom, even with the door shut. The rooms were really large though, so that was nice, and the doors were...

I cannot believe all the positive reviews about this hotel. Apart from the lobby, the hotel had not been renovated in at least 30 or even 50 years. It was unbelievable. The room was no better - beds were saggy and uncomfortable, train rumbling past was noisy, no fridge available, wi-fi was slow, no phone in the room, staff were...

Nice new carpet in a classic Chicago hotel. Beautiful lobby, seasoned, classy Bellmen. We brought a couple of bicycles for our children and they locked them up in a first floor holding area with anytime in and out at no charge--so conventient. High ceilings in the rooms, gives it a regal feel. I highly recommend this hotel.

We love staying at the Congress! The location is wonderful. It is close to lots of activities! We also love the history behind the hotel. We love to roam the hotel at look at all the awesome art work and the different rooms such as the Gold Room! Great service at the front desk and at the bar!

The lobby was amazing. Hotel staff seemed to be comfortable and not worried about apperances. Customer service was not a priority. ASked for wake up call, and did not recieve it. Room showed its age! Time for some upgrades. Terrible TV, No CLOCK, and outlets were not all functioning.
