The Hilton Chicago is nicely located unless you are looking for more nighttime action and restaurants. For that, you may want to head up north a bit. The room was good, the bed very comfortable but the cheapo version of their WiFi (perhaps not so cheap at $14/day) was barely functional. Why is it that even the lamest motels have...

This is a big modern hotel, so lacks any personal touches, but it is modern and well run. The attached Irish bar was pretty good and we used it both nights of our stay. The hotel,is well positioned and we took a City bus tour from right outside the hotel door. The hotel has an exec lounge, but if you...

The hotel is situated in downtown and within the walking distance you can visit Buckingham fountain, Millennium park, Willis tower, etc. The building is too old. I had a regular double room, which did not have a bad odor. However, within my two nights stay, I saw 3 small pests in my room!!! The train passing by the hotel has...

“Location, location and lots of history!” 5 of 5 stars Pending review I loved this hotel, we had a room on the 21st floor with lake view. The room was very confortable and really nice. I am still in shock at the position this hotel takes to business meetings! If you're in the lobby, wi-fi is free, but as soon as you go into a meeting room, it's $200 PER PERSON! In our discussion the price quickly dropped to $100 and then $50 - but really? Wifi is a non negotiable in the 21st century...

I have just been charged $534.28 for one night in a cramped squalid room with furniture out of the 1980's and fleck wallpaper. The check-in (at 11pm last night) took almost 15 minutes. The in-room Internet is $16/day. The check in clerk explained "luxury hotels usually charge for in-room Internet". I think he meant that in-room Internet is a luxury...

This is an amazing Hilton property. I am embarrassed that in the many years I have visited and stayed in Chicago I somehow overlooked this hotel until this visit. I have stayed at the Palmer House, which is nice and boutique'ish, the Hilton Chicago is different. A stay at this hotel is like stepping aboard a Queen Mary - there...

Classic meets cool as Hilton Chicago embarks upon a $150 million renovation in celebration of our 85th birthday. The fresh, new vibe inspired by traditional, design rich elements pulls its inspiration from the hotel’s original architecture and intertwines a dynamic and contemporary spin. With the renovation underway, the hotel has already introduced over 400 new guest rooms, 13 new hospitality suites, a new technologically versatile Grab & Go – SNAX and a new restaurant with private dining space and bar – 720 South Bar & Grill. The new contemporary guestrooms have been cultivated with ornamental lacquer finishes, soft leather and rich, bronze wood detailing accented by a cool color palette of velvet and silk textured accents. Guestroom media capabilities include a 37 inch flat screen television, in room touch concierge panel, HCN Navigator computer and wireless and wired internet access. Following a day exploring Chicago, decompress at the largest Chicago hotel athletic club with running track, take a dip in our indoor pool facility or catch some rays on our sundeck during the spring and summer months.Located on Michigan Avenue in the South Loop, the Hilton Chicago is 1.6 miles to McCormick Place, along the Shuttle Route to McCormick Place and the first stop on the returning route from the convention center.
