Stayed 3 nights prior to driving Route 66. This hotel is a little dated but clean. Room was a good size & beds comfortable. Basic bathroom. It's in a good location opposite the park , main sights & loop walkable or if preferred bus stops outside hotel which will take you straight up to the golden mile. Staff very &...

I stayed at the Essex Inn for four nights in September 2014. My room on the 7th floor was a fair size. I had stayed at this hotel back in 2009 and the rooms appeared to have been renovated since then. The bathroom was quite small and while clean seemed a little dated to me. The room was perfectly adequate...

We visited the Essex Inn again by request, having booked a tour and given a choice of hotels, we had no hesitation of booking the Chicago's Essex Inn. We were not disappointed and had a great room overlooking Grant Park. The room and sleep quality were excellent, many thanks It is so well situated for getting around.

Decent mid priced hotel. Great location overlooking Grant Park. Lots of restaurants nearby, just around the corner from Buddy Guys blues club. Easy walk to the El or 20minutes walk to the centre of town. Would recommend.

I've never stayed at an Essex Inn before so I wasn't sure what to expect. The hotel is nice and clean, the staff was nice, I wouldn't go say they were extremely friendly, but they were nice. The train is only a couple blocks from the hotel, but unlike what the front desk person told us, make sure you have...

U stayed at this hotel in January 2014 with my husband, brother, and 2 tween children. It was very cold during our stay (-15 degrees) so we didn't get to go outdoors too much. This hotel is close to soldier field, grant park, and the museums. There is also a complimentary shuttle to the museums. We loved our stay and the...

Nice hotel that is very close to the Loop (city center). Direct access to lower Michigan avenue. By walk Millennium Park is very near (5 minutes for Buckingham Fountain). The room is very clean, convenient and comfortable. Service is really good. I arrived from the O'Hare airport using Blue Line metro + by walk from LaSalle station (less than 15...

We had mold in the shower and the title outside of the shower. There was also no privacy as the room as right next to the pool. We asked to be moved, they were very nice about this however the new room, while the mold situation was more under control, still left A LOT to be desired. The bathroom was...
